I unreservedly apologise for my constant spamming of music videos when I'm drunk.

Alot like the mistimed and poorly executed offloads today I curse myself for getting carried away in the moment to ruin a half chance at glory.

It'd be a worthy exercise just to shove it back in the collective face of NRL sports journos for a stats minded autiste like Poupou Escobar or someone of ilk to work out the games to NRL premierships ratio of QLD teams divided by the population per capita and I've got a sneaking feeling that QLD just doesn't get NRL.

They play the game but we're not on the same page.

They seem to put all their energy into a 3 game mid season diversion down a sideshow alley hall of mirrors clown world we're all forced to endure at the point of the NRL and Nein's media gun.

While we're subjected to taunts that we don't get their Plato's Cave shadow-world SOO scenario we're meanwhile out here in the fields waiting for the real game to resume. Maybe QLDers don't get NRL...we don't need to prove we're right, all we need is a grand final victory!
Can't believe this post didn't get one like emoji.

Is State of Origin the modern equivalent of the midweek Amco Cup?

2nd prize for underachiever overachievers?

I feel state of origin should get the Jamie Lyon treatment it deserves.

You want me to act like a clown in a pre-ordained WWE type entertainment arena for the amusement of big-tech oligarchs and the big-moneyed advertiser's anonymous boards?

Jamie Lyon was out.

I have the most respect of all league players for Jamie Lyon.

He stood his ground and chose out on all the 30K per game hoopla and bet 3 6 million and 6 hundred and 6 ty 6

He chose himself.

Back then they let him be. But would they today?

(I dumbed it down to a not too long TL;DR premise even for idiots)

If Benji didn't want Galvin, he wouldn't have picked him in first grade every week. He dropped him for the game against Parra and then he was back in the NRL the following week, right up until he left.
It's clear that the head of Tigers let him go because the coach wanted him to go. He also let De Sylva go. Just like we lost Tuilagi and Ethan Sanders under Brad Arthur.

The coach asks, the head of football delivers, in complete contrast to whatever shitspiel Poupou has been spieling.

The coach and Head of Football must work in unison for a succesful club.

The coach knows what sort of football and the style of player he wants to deliver his vision and the HOF's job is to bring the players to the coach's vision

Unlike what Poupou misconstrues and misdirects we lost Ethan Sanders because Brad Arthur was shoring up halfback for his 4th grade son and told the HOF who to get

Brad Arthur left us high and dry and the HOF followed his lead.

Since that time with a real Parra committed coach our HOF has likewise followed his lead.

All I know is after Brad Arthur we were a bankrupt club in terms of squad depth.

He sold us out for short term gain.

Today we're reaping the rewards of a caring HOF with a coach mirroring that selfless approach.

Clearly it's the coach. Just like Dragon's Flanagan has cast adrift old hands who gave their all to the red V.

Yet the media won't roast Flanagan for his flagrant roasting of Dragons legacy

Why?

Because the people reporting on these merkins are spiritually relateded and just as misbegotten

Parra does the right thing for RCG and Gutho: hell, hatestorm, where's the legacy?!

Dragons under Flanagan let go a 200 game stalwart: best thing, good decision, whistling dixie

How are league journos taken seriously?
