how much is he being paid?
irrelevant unless you are somehow inferring that Moses is purposefully getting injured

How much more patience should fans have?? 2 3 4 10 years???
you have a choice, be patient or stop following the club. Ryles isnt responsible for your lack of patience, he just arrived. He deserves the same level of patience you'd give to a coach arriving to a new club on day 1

I'm yet to hear a iota of negativity around Ryles in the media despite our ladder position, and every commentator speaks of how they can see the change in our style, and a respect the enormity of what Ryles is trying to do and that he has the balls to make big calls that may not be popular or the easy option.

I genuinely think he has 2 years of completely free reign, results irrespective to reset the club. Then come year 3 and 4, thats when results become a yardstick. I'm also certain that is what would have been discussed prior to Ryles accepting the job. He didnt accept it because it was his only option, he had knocked back others, he accepted it because he knew it would be the best for him to hone his craft, within the parameters of what he was going to be allowed to do - which is craft the club in the model he wants to have them play. Anyone thinking you could change that in a single off-season was nuts. There was barely a smidge of talent off contract this year, so its recruitment over the next 12 months to bring into the 2027 pre-season that will be judge where we end up.

The media will give him time but it will turn if we are in the same position we are in this year next year. They wont care for injuries or the roster turn over.

Ill give him 2027 but i am not the media.

Storm - Grant, Papa, Loeiro , King, Falago
Roosters - Whyte, Walker, E Butcher
Grant - captain of storm, is never going to leave
Papa - isn't re-signed but we have chosen our long term 1. We also dont need another spine member regular out injured
Loeiro - don't think he was even considered above an average player until he got picked for origin this year
King - typical average player that looks amazing in the storm system but would be nothing outside it
Faaologo - isn't off contract currently, and again is a position we've already made a call on

Whyte - wasn't off contract, he upgraded whilst in contract
Walker - we werent looking for a halfback
Butcher - is rubbish and the signing would be admonished on here for being average if we'd picked him up

We could have the loveliest blokes in the comp visiting nursing homes, having lunch with ex players, signing autographs for 3hours after every game but it doesn’t mean shit if we are bottom of the ladder.
I disagree with that. Goodwill is repaid. A club with a good reputation attracts corporate sponsors, attracts higher quality players.

Crichton was never going to leave the Riff
Burton was regarded as a Riff staple and future captain
Kikau likewise

Luai was prised away, Druitt boy would stay etc

Farnsworth was regarded as a Bronco , he left

No more excuses, it’s been too long that we have been a passive recruiter, get busy or get out.

Very well said, as fans it’s just easier to make excuses to help deal with years of misery and humiliation

Kalyn Ponga has engaged the services of a NZ-based rugby union agent as he contemplates the potential for an early release from his contract with the Newcastle Knights.

Reported by Chammas just then

One is regularly injured and one who floats through life...perfect match.
Could have a new cubicle buddy ole Kalyn. Must be missing Kurt

Man I disagree with that 100% there was a pass last night that I thought Lussick threw from dummy half...
Also certain there was a pass that hit the ground..

Then there was the pass that Hopgood had to reach out to just get.
TDS and Riley will form a good 1, 2 combo.
I thought TDS looked good. Sharp, good on his feet and looks quick.
I think Riley's service is a bit better though. Not by much but these two excite me what they will be able to do in tandem

Would be a good replacement for Brown but I assume that he has gotten a Union agent to go to union..

TDS runs were really good made nice meters only problem was no one was in support... Thats where I think Joash needs to be floating around the ruck..

Ryles is going absolutely nowhere, he’s one of the safest coaches in the NRL. You’d certainly hope so too because he inherited an absolute cluster of a roster.
But hes also made some changes which are head scratchers. Im not advocating for his sacking but we need 2 or 3 or so top quality signings for next yr to add to the first grade experience of the newbies coming through.
What's dissapointing so far is that despite how bad a player or players are some basic dumb stuff continues and has done so since round 1.
Would love to see our completion rate when we have won and when we have lost.
We let riff back into the game with stupid stuff.
Play percentages, play for a higher completion rate. We dont want to get into the grind if we are constantly self destructing.
Playing attractive footy is great when it works but when it doesn't we don't have the gumption to repeal the opposition..
We are still inexperienced and lack leadership to have that steely confidence in us to back our defence...its a work in progress but how long can we keep saying it?
I'll give Ryles til the end of next yr before im really going ape shit

Jim’s mowing has got this don’t worry. He’s currently scouring all nursing homes to accompany his marquee signing Debellin.

Article says the knights releasing Ponga will allow them to chase a halfback and move Sharpe to FB.

So have they have already given up on Dylan being 7.
