Most of the media coverage about the Drown dumping has been very supportive of Ryles.

SEN this morning were all for it.

I am concerned that News Corp Hacks in Rothfield, Crawley, Riccio, Read were all complementary of the brave call Ryles has made that other coaches may not have.

But outside of carry on during the commentary from Ennis & Voss during the game i think most people have accepted in the game its the right decision.

Even NRL360 barely touched on it which generally means they all agree with it.

Otherwise they would spend 10-15 debating and arguing about it.

I'm not entirely on board with this argument. It's not like we weren't paying him close to a million a year anyway. As far as the 10 year certainty bit, well if he plays anything like he has for us in the past 18 months then it's going to cost him in the long run and his 13 million dollar contract is going to be worthless.

I don't think it's impossible that he ends up back with us at some stage.
Yeah it seems similar to Hayne's titans scenario.

But for some reason, I don't think we will take him back. Same as Mahoney.

I think he will end up in NZ or wherever BA is

I think any suggestion that he won't get paid at least 8 years of his 10 years x $1.3m is balderdash. There is a reason why people have described is as the biggest deal in NRL history. Cos it is.

I am more convinced Dylan Walker must left this earth a couple of years ago and has came back as someone else.

Speaks very well here & realistic where things are at.

Completely different to what his reputation was known for at Manly
The reality with Walker playing a, dare I say it, Middle Half role, once Moses is in the team, that we can probably afford to have a rookie in the 6.

He's got a guaranteed $13 million for the next 10 years, whether he is the best player in the NRL or plays 10 years in NSW Cup.

Where can I get one of these 'worthless' deals?

Ryles decisions are commendable but we must understand that he has very little to lose by dropping brown than to not blood juniors. This season was over in round 2. Ryles actually was a Gentleman enough to have a chat with Brown around June 30.

He should have let him go to England the moment Brown announced he's going to Newcastle. Maybe get the feeling of the Old Newcastle before the new one.

He’s lived in Sydney for a decade ffs. Why would he want to f**k off to England for six months?
