I feel so positive about the future of the side that I’m shocked others aren’t too. We are so far from the finished product it’s not funny but with 8 mins to go we were down by 6 to Canberra at Canberra. All of us feared the worst heading into that game.

Yes we still need a few more astute signings in the forwards but we’ve invested in youth and the future will be bright. I’m trusting the process on this one.
I wouldn't mind a scalp before the end of the year.

But the Run home should be 3 wins at a bare minimum with our draw.

Next fortnight may get a bit ugly.

But i would be disappointed if we finish on 7 wins or less.

If Moses plays the remaining games we should be beating Cows, Knights & Souths.

That should be the expectation

thanks for posting that, I can see why Ryles wants to develop from within, not really any players there that get me excited
I’d have a look at Sam Stonestreet for depth. Has plenty of pace too. Blake Wilson can get f**ked. We tried twice and he said no. He can now stay in NSW Cup.

It’s been reported that Jake Averillo is homesick and wants to come back to Sydney as does Ray Stone. Jonah Pezet also has a get out clause if Hughes re-signs at the Storm and Anasta on one of his podcasts slipped that we have made an enquiry about his services.

Agree f**k Wilson.

We’ve enquired about Pezet? That’s interesting. I wonder if Hughes resigns it’s an immediate release possible meaning he can leave immediately..?

What’s your thoughts on Pezet, is he that good? He’d certainly fit our youth approach.

According to the DT the following players are not signed for 2026…

I’ve bolded players I think would be worth having conversations with…

BRONCOS
Fletcher Baker, Jack Gosiewski, Kobe Hetherington, Delouise Hoeter, Jaiyden Hunt, Corey Jensen, Tyson Smoothy, Israel Leota, Cory Paix

BULLDOGS
Drew Hutchison, Daniel Suluka-Fifita, Blake Taaffe, Jake Turpin, Blake Wilson, Toby Sexton

COWBOYS
Braidon Burns, Jake Clifford, Tom Duffy, Jordan McLean, Jamal Shibasaki, Semi Valemei

DOLPHINS
Kenneath Bromwich, Harrison Graham, Felise Kaufusi, Josh Kerr, Mark Nicholls, Sean O’Sullivan, Michael Waqa

DRAGONS
Corey Allan, Raymond Faitala-Mariner, Viliami Fifita, Sione Finau, David Klemmer

EELS
Haze Dunster, Wiremu Greig, Joey Lussick

KNIGHTS
Jake Arthur, Adam Elliott, Jackson Hastings, Jack Hetherington, Mason Teague

PANTHERS
Brad Schneider, Mavrik Geyer, Harrison Hassett, Asu Kepaoa, Daine Laurie, Soni Luke, Riley Price, Preston Riki, Luke Sommerton

RABBITOHS
Cody Walker, Davvy Moale, Thomas Fletcher, Siliva Havili, Jacob Host, Ben Lovett, Haizyn Mellars, Shaquai Mitchell, Josh Schuster

ROOSTERS
Zach Dockar-Clay, Tyler Moriarty, Chad Townsend, Ethan Roberts

RAIDERS

SEA EAGLES

WARRIORS
Bunty Afoa, Te Maire Martin, Tom Ale, Morgan Harper, Edward Kosi

I think we’re suited enough in the small prop/combo forward so if we were to sign another one, they’d have to be better than what we currently have, not just depth/maybe better. Probably the same
For outside backs and hookers. The only exception is maybe Bullemor but I think he’s to similar to Williams & Moretti.

So just looking at big props and edge forwards and assuming a lot will retire, Kerr is probably the pick. DSF (although I think many on here overrate him from our shithouse defence that let him stroll over) and Moale as semi-project players. Sipley or Tui only if we need a 30th player and willing to sign on for short term.

Edge forwards are only projects, Geyer, Hassett & Riki.

So unless another TDS opportunity in preseason comes along I wouldn’t expect another world changing signing

I haven’t seen enough of Pezet to comment but what concerns me is that our 6 that we are hoping is the answer (Lorenzo Talataina) is shorter than Joash Papalii.

f**k where do we find these midgets?

He virtually did you nitpicking douche. I’ve watched the podcast and Maitua basically called him out. Why don’t you post it so the forum can assess it for themselves.
We did speak to Pezet.

My mail early on in the piece was spot on.

I wont name the idiot on here who was mocking where i get mail from as he gets embarrassed enough regularly on the forum.

But we definitely were or possibly still are interested in Pezet.

Once Hughes signs the contract extension Pezet is free to go to Market.

Did you watch NRL360 last night.

Ryles got wrapped deluxe by the whole panel for the job he is doing and basically doing what was required at the club.

Cull the crap out of the joint and do it properly not half arsed jobs like some clubs do and never get anywhere.

His coaching for the club's future not his own future.

Where some coaches like a Shane Flanagan go and recruit a nursing home to keep himself employed but is it really setting up the club for any mid-long term success.
Was that f**kwitt hooper on the panel?

No Hooper, thank God.

I just listened to it now. Here's the segment.

Anasta: Moses back but five wins this season. Uh should Ryles be under more scrutiny than what he's been under or are we happy with the way they're tracking at the moment?

Ginane: Isn't he doing exactly what you want for a team in a rebuild? I.e. he's not worried about wins and losses. He's clearing out the players that he knows are not going to be there. Dylan Brown, he's open and saying the future is now. He's seeing what's there. And it's a honeymoon year. Let's be honest. The first year coach always gets a honeymoon. But isn't this the template of how all clubs in a rebuild should be doing it?

Webster: I'm 100% with you. I think he's done an exceptional job, Jason Ryles. I think the five wins is irrelevant. You know, I think he copped so much flack early on in the season about the decision to move Gutho on and and when things weren't working and then, you know, I think things have started to turn and and they might have won five games, but they've been in a hell of a lot of them in the second half of the season. I think Jason Ryles has got that club going in the right direction.

Crawley: I questioned um the Gutho call at the start of the year, but the more you see of Iongi, you kind of think well longterm he's probably made the right call. What I've really liked about Jason Ryles this year is that through a really difficult time and when he could have easily lost his head, he kept composure.

Yeah, he kept calm. I've rarely seen him lose his temper and it's just been it's given you an insight into obviously a bloke that's going to be around for a long time. I agree. The decision with Dylan Brown, I've heard people knock it and say, "Well, it's given up on the season." I I think the opposite. I think it's given them a look at what may be.

Anasta: Yeah. I think it's the style too which they're playing. They're playing a really expansive style. Their attack is in improved and and that's without Moses. You know, Moses comes back in. They've missed him for a lot of the year as well. So, that's that's hurt them.

Their defense was really poor at the start of the year because he changed all the systems, but that's improved as well as the season's gone on.

And you look at, and I said it earlier on in the year, you look at the Bulldogs with Cameron Ciraldo and he culled a lot of players and they went 10 steps backwards before they started this run to get to where they are now. And I see a comparison there with Ryles. But I think the big question is Ryles has culled a lot and it is a comparison to Ciraldo. They've probably taken a couple of steps back. He's got rid of Gutho, RCG, Cartwright, Lane, Matterson today. So, who's coming in?

Do we know? Who do they need? Who should they look for? Is there do do are we concerned about next year if he hasn't bought too many players?

Crawley: I think I I think even with the players that they have and some of the juniors that they do come have coming through. I think they will grow as a team like Iongi is only going to get better, isn't he? Papalii's going to get better. They've got Talyn de Silva that's come to the club now. They've got yeah some pretty decent young forwards who are emerging and it may take a year or two for them to find their feet when Mitchell Moses is there. It makes such a hell of a difference.

Webster: It's we've got no patience in this game anymore. Rebuilds take time as you said Dan, then they take they take ...

Anasta: There is no patience in this game.

Webster: But there used to be patience this year ...

Crawley: There won't be patience next year.

Webster: I get that. I get that. But let me say this. You look at what like I know Ricky and and the relationship that he has with Donnie Ferner and Canberra's different, but is it a classic example of a coach not coaching for his future
that he can actually build and build his squad and get what he needs in not worried that he's got a coach to make sure he doesn't get sacked at the end of the season. And I think that's a real value that um that that um that the clubs really need to embrace and it's exactly what Parramatta need to embrace cuz they're starting from ground zero at the start of this year. I think they're going the right direction.

Ginane: They had they had a good era, right? They had a good era with that core group. They made a grand final. They were constantly competing, but it's over. I think the only one they're going to regret losing is Talagi, he's the only one that's going to bite them that ...

Crawley: Ethan Sanders is another one.

Ginane: Well, that one too. Well, we don't know yet, but he does look good. But, um, the rest of them, it was time to...

Crawley: Parramatta have shown that they are a club that do have patience. Like Arthur was there for a decade. Yeah. you know, and and and you you talk about that decision, the comparison with the Raiders and and Fogarty is a great example because that's that's a Ricky not coaching for his future. They wanted to give two years at the lost, Manly offered three. They weren't willing to go down that path. Ryles has to make choices that he thinks are for the long term. Gutherson's a good one that he did.

I wish we kept Sanders before Talagi but that was under BA we lost him, and for BA reasons I suspect.

Odd to hear Anasta speak at all about the Eels let alone well of us. Maybe he has a client that might be interested in joining us?
