That’s what I suggested recently saying we might say we’ll release you for 27 if you put your nose down for 26. Gives us time to plan and not left with a hole overnight from our biggest metre eater.

It’s not messy, no legal threats and he leaves us with nothing but blessings.

Whilst I agree with sentiment, tentative start date for R360 is grand final weekend for next season. So theoretically yes he could play our season then jump, but would the NRL or R360 want it that way (even if we don’t make finals, surely they’d want him more than a month before season starts) and could we end up in Hayne/NFL situation where he’s not fully committed back end of season?

But to me that is the way I’d do it too. Play out our full season, then jump for the money

It might be a challenge yes, but I guess that the beauty of having him under contract for the next 3 years. We may help him out, but in our terms.

So you're saying that every player who asks for an early release from their debut club is at a rodeo even if they see out the year and still give 100%.

That's potentially a lot of players.

Haven’t seen much of him. What’s everyone’s opinion of him. Is he a gun?

He's only played a handful of First Grade games, I think people are overhyping him a little bit on what he has actually delivered so far.

He was a highly touted junior... played NSW under 19s and was labelled the best half in his age group coming through. Storm signed him as a youngster with a fair bit of hype at the time.

He's had a few significant injuries the last couple of seasons which has stalled his development and obviously being behind Hughes/Munster his opportunities has been limited.

He played one really classy game late in the year when Hughes was out (I think v the Dogs from memory) and that's when the hype started he was too good to be a backup.

I think he's ready to be a first grader, I don't think he's necessarily going to be a star straight away..... My main concern is I think he is a genuine traditional number 7 and I don't think his strengths overly complement Moses.

His best attribute is his kicking game which we already have covered, decent ball player, defends solid... not much of a running game.

Maybe they plan on playing Mitch a bit wider more like a 6? not sure. Ryles would have seen a fair bit of him while he was in Melbourne so will back him to make it work.
