I’m not blaming anyone mate, I’m just saying he was far from our best. FFS Shaun Lane was better than him but in the end he lost his desire. I doubt Matterson ever really had it, which is why he has a reputation as a softcock.
Matterson was on an elite trajectory at Roosters and was good early at the Tigers. He has some sort of personality issue though and doesnt get on with team mates. Roosters let him go early and so did Tigers. Tigers were happy to see the back of him, I assume Roosters were too.

For who? Tigers or Parra?
If Tigers, who out of Turuva, Taylan May, Makasini, Skelton and even To'a does Garrick force out?
Anyone of the above would suffice (Tigers).

Certainly the eels could also do with his services in some capacity, comfort during the challenges of the Lomaxian crisis.

A number of svelte suitors I’d imagine.

He looks a strange cat if I could put it in a nice way.

He never seemed like he was personally close to any of his team mates the whole time here at Parra.

Just looked very individualised. And some of the decisions he has made throughout his career have reflected that.

After a game on the field you would never see him joking around or look tightknit with a team mate or opposition player that they were best buddies.

And whenever he scored a try it was pretty similar reaction.

On social media you rarely saw him hanging out with team mates in a non club capacity.

I think most have forgotten this selfish so and so has won a comp with the Roosters…..the rest is history and cream on the cake…..he has his premiers ring, so he is good with any outcome

On mad Monday of his last year at the Tigers before he left and signed with Parra (still was under Contract), the Tigers players had a sedate day drinking beers and playing lawnbowls with a life sized cut out of Matto posting "Wish you were here". Seems to be a common thread.

Any excuse to get those biceps out. No wonder he ended up at Parra. I hear they are highly regarded at Kellyville.

Matterson was also under contract at our club and had some hype as a junior. He come through as a 5/8 and had a dummy spit apparently when club wanted to move him. Thats when they terminated his then 3 or 4 yr contract.
The fact he had never finished a contract 0/3 should of been enough to be wary of this bloke. Soon to be 0/4
It was a ridiculous extension. A ridiculous PO. But we got what we deserved tbh.
