The big issue was that Balmain was and is broke and until someone comes uo with $50 million and ongoing funds, HBG and Wests Ashfield are head of the queue. Leichhardt Oval needs less games and a shift culturally to Campbelltown is necessary, the junior rep teams are 90% from the South West, somehow it has to be done to secure the future.

Ferguson 1st year was sensational. His 2nd was really just average and his 3rd he was barely an NRL player and by memory was in and out of first grade. He turned like a bus the last 18mths.

Leichhardt is locked in for 3 games a year for a while now and thats about right. Its regularly sold out and is a great event. CSS is flat out selling out. The owners of the Club, HBG are the ones that want to ignore Campbelltown, it is one of the reasons that they sacked the independent board, because of commitment to the games at CSS.

Balmain reps are strong, but Campbelltown has numbers. I actually think the system that we have with two teams up to Flegg is perfect, twice as many to call our own. Planty of rep juniors that have made the grade recently have been Balmain juniors.

Former NRL star Curtis Scott has been charged after allegedly fleeing the scene of a drunken crash near his home.
Scott was allegedly over the limit when he crashed his ute into several trees on Kennedy Cres at Bonnet Bay, in Sydney’s south, late on the evening of June 15.

But it was not until Monday – almost six months on – that NSW Police laid charges and he was ordered to face Sutherland Local Court next month.

In a statement, NSW Police said the former Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders centre had been located at a nearby home after the crash and allegedly found to have a blood alcohol reading in the mid-range – which is anywhere between 0.08 and 0.15.

In October 2023, Scott was charged with driving while his licence was suspended, ultimately pleading guilty but avoiding conviction.

Anyone can 'coach shape'. Go and look at our highlights from that period. Many of our tries (of which we scored plenty) included decoy runners. Here's one from 2017:
