To be fair, both his manager and father were telling people he was signing at Parra, Gould worked some black magic and turned his head and decision and everyone was WTF. Friday he was signing , and Saturday a complete change from the young man.

He's aware of how much money we have to spend under the cap, and we ain't, although we can guess.

He has plans and knows how he wants to shape our team, so I'm prepared to back him for now. It's obviously a good signing and will improve our roster.

Looking at the comments re the all in training session, some suggestions that Semrani should play centre when the season starts, really underlines how the backs have been ignored when depth and experience is needed. Russell was played as a wing in the NRL sort of team, they better be busy early in the New Year to counter the issue, strange it’s not been addressed given how obvious it is.

Similar thoughts…. I think KK probably is worth that much money for a team that needs him and I’m not surprised at all that a team like the Dragons are going hard for him. I also think it will be disastrous for Souths if they were to lose him.

For us would he be a great signing? absolutely, he’s a world class middle. But I don’t think we are that desperate in that position, I worry what his signing might cost us in other areas.

I’ll back Ryles though whatever his plan is.

Very few premiership sides have won without a genuine, top-tier, dominant prop in their squad. Ours was elite once, but it’s nostalgia alone that’s delaying the inevitable tap on the shoulder.

KK has been identified as the player to fill that void if we’re actually serious about ending this drought. And one thing was always clear — it was never going to be an overpaid winger with a squirrel-sized brain.

I don’t have a problem with Russell being in the side. He is a definite starter for me. Reminds me of a Matt Cooper sprinkled with a bit of Tom Opacić and Joel Reddy.

I totally agree. He is also improving, like every f**king year! He is a big body, and takes defensive challenges quite personally often dragging the other player into the gutter. I’m a big fan.

Everyone knows my feeling on the penis but who knows, maybe this year will be his breakout season.

The clips I saw showed Samrani playing what I believed is centre, but could be wrong.

I think most of us like what Russell brings to the side, but we also are aware that we could do better (no disrespect intended to Russell).

I like how strong he is in defence, and he has a great combination with the Foxx.

But in attack, he is quite average.

If you could combine Penisini's best traits, with Russell's best traits, you'd have one hell of a player.

Penisini...possibly the most frustrating player in our squad.

I’ve thought about him back flipping too. The thing is Madge is exactly the type of coach that wouldn’t stand in his way if he didn’t want to be there. He did it with Matterson. But then again everyone would try and f**k off Matterson.
