Is it his disdain for Parra? What happened? Obviously there is a rift between Parra and Lomax.........I'm just slow and missed what that was?

I assume he said he wanted time away from rugby league as an excuse to get out of his contract.
So I assume we stated if that's the reason then you can't leave us then sign with another rugby league club as your excuse is you wanted time away from rugby league.

I doubt we would have put anything in th contract about coming back to us as we need to use our salary cap.

Lomax has so much disdain for the position of winger that he would rather be a mediocre 3/4 than play wing. That is the root cause of the problem.
If you want to see who we'll get in return, look for a club that needs a mediocre 3/4 and willing to acquiesce to his demands.
In other words, no one.

I would guess that neither the Eels nor Lomax want each other. I’m sure they could have organised a deal to have him back if they wanted to, but the Eels would rather move on from Zac and he wants to ply for someone else.

He must really hate playing wing. Or just hates not playing finals.

agree and id say family will be pleading with him to come home...
If we land any of the 3, there is upside regardless..
First preference would be Coates then Stefano. Reckon we land Howarth as they cant afford to lose another back and already light on in the fwds..
The problem for both clubs is the more this drags on then both clubs if they get a new player has someone who has not trained in the preseason, needs to learn the playbook of the team etc.
Realistically they should try and sort it out this weekend so both parties can have new player training with them late next week or the following week.
Starting the following week and you're almost in Feb...time is of the essence here
