I'd say half the NRL clubs should forfeit round 1 - I think many of them would not be happy with the NRL sticking their nose in a place they have no business.

That was obvious to me in his comments as a father who had never changed nappies. Generally speaking in Australia, most Men who have children try to at least pull their weight, changing nappies once or twice would be the bare minimum you would think.

I’ve known bloke like this in the past and that behaviour is not cute, not funny and doesn’t make you “manly”.

I had a MASSIVE disagreement with a mate years ago whilst he was watching his pregnant wife struggle with their 6month old Bub and he shrugged it off like it wasn’t his job (yes he earns a lot of money @Poupou Escobar) but it’s actually disgusting. My other mate (also his best mate) actually jumped on board and I had ferocity in my words out of earshot.

We are still best mates and we years later had a drunken conversation where he said the shame in copping it from us changed him.

Imagine how much of a piece of shit you’d feel like admitting you didn’t change nappies etc. Kids remember that stuff, own your duty as a man.

I disagree. I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s more likely the court would grant an injunction preventing him from playing for them pending a hearing and final determination.

Sure, but imagine if we went the the NRL and said, "Sorry, the Storm team has been illegally assembled and we refuse to play them...". Won't happen but it would be a big "f**k you" to the NRL for getting involved when they shouldn't be.

The injunction will stop that scenario just like when an injunction delayed the start of Super League.

Yeah...nah. At the end of the day the NRL (and Parra) didn't want this to blow out the way it has, imo. However, they have quite the situation on their hands and it involves contracts, clubs in general and fans watching how this evolves not only for 2026 but the future. Taking our ball home won't solve this pandora's box.

We wouldnt be able to forfeit anyway.

Look at Covid when every game had to be played no matter the circumstances otherwise there was a breach of contract with the TV networks who would sue the shit out of the game and clubs for not fulfilling contract obligations.

We already have Iongi and both of them are pure fullbacks and nothing else so they can’t both be in the side. Also Papenhuyzen is taking the year off and said he’s most likely retired.
