Rumours and Stuff

I second that.

I am genuinely considering chucking a sickie tomorrow, because I am going to get absolutely abused by someone tomorrow because of a [correct] decision that I had to make on Friday evening.
f**k them Eele. I don’t know too many people enjoying work at the moment. Everyone wants more for less. More work, less pay, more sales, less spend. I’m going to Melbourne tomorrow to take money away from my biggest customer. And the f**king imbeciles in Germany that run the company I work for wouldn’t have the guts to do it themselves.
and people wonder why I like a Kraken and other things…

That sucks!

In my case, it's not my employer, but one of my employers - they're the "every psychological workplace injury claim is bullshit, and you need to dispute it" type.

And, to be fair, I think this one will turn out to be bullshit - in 6 to 12 months' time when the evidence finally comes back.

Right now, though, as I explained to them repeatedly, under the CURRENT legislation in NSW, this is a valid claim.

This person threatened to report me, make a complaint to SIRA about me, and complain to my manager.

To their absolute credit, the company I work for has repeatedly told me (and shown me) they have my back, for which I am super grateful.

But I don't need to spend 90 minutes on the phone with someone abusing me, because they do not understand the limitations of the Workers' Comp system in NSW, when it comes to employers.

It's hard enough to manage a portfolio of 100 claims - having to listen to how terrible I am is not helpful.

Glad to hear that you are at least being supported mate. I had to give the global CEOs nephew a job, because the merkin was a 43 year useless cjnt. I sacked him in the end. I’m still waiting for the repercussions

Oh Dude that sucks. It’s also a lot of grief you have to manage in those cases and grief brings out the worst in most humans.

Not to discount your worry, but in my case the worry (that I create) when I’m having the Sunday Scaries FAR outweighs what actually happens.

You got this brother.

I can put them in their place - but the fact they are taking my time away from other claims, calling me names, and making complaints, is irritating.

This person honestly does not know anything about the scheme - they are always trying to dispute treatment for their workers, even in open and shut cases.

We had a 2-hour teleconference with our solicitors, where they kept arguing that it wasn't a legitimate claim.

Our solicitors repeated at least 4 times that - under the CURRENT legislation in NSW - it is a claim, and as the insurer, we need to ask the questions to see whether the evidence supports it, or not.

They just kept arguing - against qualified litigators, who knows the legislation inside and out.

This is the sort of person they are.

If he retires we have another 600k (maybe less if we have already paid him for some of the season) to pay another quality player..
Can we use that to front load Moses..
