I generally am on the Penisini hasn’t delivered bandwagon but I actually think he was ok today which compared to nearly everyone else isn’t that bad (and played well in the trails too). Running with more purpose and clearly has got stronger in the off-season. Not writing him off just yet

He's dumb as shit and has dicks for fingers, if we could somehow fix these issues he'd be a decent centre. Sadly he just really doesn't seem like that is ever going to change. Did like belting Meaney on the kick chase though.

Will will come up with 1 of 2 defensive howlers a game , 1 or 2 terrible drop balls a game and there’s nothing surer than him not only not finishing off try’s but losing possession attempting to score on the 1st tackle . He didn’t learn his lesson in the trial.

Overall a terribly disappointing way to start the year . Such a long wait to see your team get the shit kicked out of them round 1. Having said that it was a very weird game . There was no real set for set cycle … Todd Smith was finding parra hands on balls at the end of every set . Just terrible reffing and no feel for the game at all. Parra had to defend a lot of 10 and 11 tackle sets and the juice just went out of them Their own mistakes didn’t help the cause but a few of them can be attributed to fatigue . Feel it’s just a game you learn your lessons quickly and move on .

Thought Ryles also made a few tactical errors in that game and he’ll also be better for it . Bringing Joash on when our big boys like De Belin and Paulo were completely gassed was an error . 10 mins of Iongis HIA was the half time break so those 5 Joash mins cost us another middle which we desperately needed . Joash , Da Silva and Walker was too small a bench . Wouldn’t have made much difference at the end of the day but something we need to get right going forward.

As much as we need to be better the officials need to be too. Some absolute howlers and getting caned like that in possession at this time of year is suicide. Early season is all about building resilience and finding wins which you can’t do with 39% ball.

Firstly Pezet is no 6 and secondly he looks pretty f**king average. Might make a 7 one day but he's already a bust. I'd already be looking at dumping this plodder and his cuck chair and looking at getting Lorenzo in ASAP.

There was a play in the second half where he picked up the ball and tried to beat 3 men on the outside with no support. Had t fling it back and we managed to get away with it but f**k. It was just typical of him not thinking. The almost try in the first half too after the Iongi break. It was play 2 I think and he goes reaching out like inspector f**ken gadget and loses it. It’s just infuriating.

Looking back on th game, Pezet was targeted verbally and physically by the Storm and seemed scared by it all. Actually anyone who believes he offered anything in that game is delusional.

iongi, Russell possibly Hopgood get pass marks, what on earth were Smtih and DaSilva , and the rest doing in the game. Frustrating and as for the Todd Smith and Butler in the bunker where did they get game instructions from.

Recruitment remains an issue , the experienced players let us down but at least the young players in Cup turned up.
