The NRL would never help us

We don't have high ranking officials with any pull in the game and know how to navigate the politics in amongst the game to get shit done.

Penrith were nobodies 12 years ago just like Ivan.

But to there credit they have built themselves in a powerhouse and now seem to have a seat at the table when it comes to the big boys and any issues with the NRL.

They just go about there business and get stuff done without fuss.

That has been successful with Fox and Walker. DeBellin so far is a fail. Kelly we were desperate but yes is a fail.

I disagree. Our attack has been good, apart from the Storm game, and Pezet has been a key part of it. Unfortunately our defence has been poor and he has been a key part of that too.

I am not saying this is wrong but is there a lot more of small zippy lads taking good "hit ups" this year? Like Iongi when he was in.
Maybe these types of hit ups have been a big part of it for a long time I just seem to be noticing it a lot more.

Edwards and To’o have been a huge part of Penrith’s success over the years, regularly making 50+ runs between them. It lets their smaller forwards like Leota and Martin focus on defence, only running at isolated hookers and halfbacks.

Do we think we could have handled the Lomax situation differently in hindsight?

Yes. With hindsight we should not have given the initial release and also when he got in contact and asked would we consider taking him back we should have said yes (even though we knew his heart was not in it).

Joey Manu is bound to come back and most likely to play fullback with the injuries we have he would be a great replacement now..

We should try to get him.

We could have traded lomax to the storm for the NRL helping us get Manu to the club for this year atleast..

I am glad we stood up to the Storm. That might be our biggest win of the year.

PVL is always looking to make the NRL better and stronger. I would think he prefers the idea of the Eels being strong - we should have said to him we will move the Easter Monday game somewhere with a much bigger capacity as a favour to the NRL but we want our back scratched in return.
