That's not true. I think Sam, KitKat and Kelma gets over the advantage line quite consistently.
So does Walker, Doorey.

The back, only Bailey and that's why we're stuck in our half.

How come when as a player you make it over the advantage line you are not rewarded with a quick play the ball?

They should have a 3 and 5 second time limit 3 seconds for going over the advantage line ect 5 seconds for a legs tackle dominant tackle before the line or where the succumbed to the tackle...

so exactly the same as now. except swap the 6 again for a penalty.

i dont know what the answer is but i feel like more and more, games are decided in the first 20 minutes with one team getting a player sin binned and/or a significant amount of 6 again calls against them. This hurts interchange systems as forwards are gassed earlier but still completing there 20-25 min initial stint.

i'd love to know the stats of how many teams win after having a player sin binned in the first 20 mins or having a lobsided 6 again stat against them in this time.
If it was my decision I would make the defending team only have to retreat back 7 meters.
I would also cut out the dominant tackle call unless it was a 1 defender who made a dominant tackle. Penalise teams who don't move from the tackled player immediately. No multiple defenders peeling off the tackle.
Also stop 3 and 4 defenders holding a player up and marching him back.
Tackle called as soon as forward progress is stopped like it was previously.

So the Storm lose Eli Katoa in the pacific champs and get salary cap dispensation but we lose three players due to foul play and we don’t get anything?

edit: Did a bit more research and apparently it is tougher to get relief if the injury is not succumbed in an origin or rep match. Bit stupid

How do we combat our lack of size with our current setup?

Well, if I was Ryles, I'd do something like:

8. Paulo
9. Smith
10. Tuivati
11. Tuilagi (I'm not a huge fan, but he's big)
12. Funa-Iuta (he's not great, but he's sizable)
13. Walker

14. Da Silva
15. Brown
16. Williams (having him run at tired defenders, and reduce his own minutes, could help - he's quick, mobile, and a running threat)
17. Kautoga (could swap him with Funa-Iuta)

Granted - there's a lot of inexperienced in that lineup.

But at least it would be a more sizable lineup, which should hopefully lead to more physicality in play.

Obviously, if we get no ball, we are stuffed.

Have Scum filled their 30 roster spots? If so, maybe that's why we didn't get it since we have two vacant positions?

Perhaps we could consider a real issue is the lack of actual depth in the roster. When clubs in the past have injury related outs, they seem to have the ability to cover them, not so much our club under current admin, still spending the cap though.
We've got 2 vacant top 30 spots plus Matterson's spot. We started the season with 4 vacant top 30 spots plus Matterson's. We have plenty of cap space.

Totally agree. Gang tackles are ugly.
RL should be finding ways to reward solo tackles and punish three-man tackles.

Giving some thought to what many consider is a lack of depth in the squad, it would be valuable to understand the club's succession plan for each position.

Starting with the backline, below is how it appears to stand.

Pezet's role was clearly to substitute Moses in the likely event of injury given he's constantly injured. As perplexing and frustrating his selection may be that was the thinking. Twidle seems to be heir apparent for 5/8 and Talataina 1/2.

From what we've seen of Twidle he looks to be outstanding, I hope the same for Talataina.

Papalii is 2nd in line for fullback and or halves then Volkman.

Samrani appears to be slated for centre probably to replace Russell.

R Penisini appears to be perpetually injured and being off contract this year needs to be replaced.

Kelly was a stopgap last minute option with no other choices available due to Lomax leaving us high and dry. This needs to be remembered and there's absolutely nothing the club could do about Lomax having a massive sook.

We need a quality centre and wing.

Yeah you can have your own opinion for sure. Just don’t agree. Gutho is currently running backwards at saints and is overpaid for what he offers. You’d be only one that I hav heard of that wants him back. He’s past it but was good 6 years ago.
I didn’t say I want Gutherson back that done and dusted, I believe if he was still with us he would be playing better than he is at the dragons, but he needed to buy in, though Ryles wasn’t exactly subtle, let me know if ur serious when u say Gutherson had been shit for 6 years if so you no credibility, but again your opinion I guess
