That’s because you’re smart like me.

You definitely have above average intelligence but highly doubtfull you'd be in the top 20% of the general population. Maybe on this forum yes top 10%. But highly intelligent people are able to collaborate with others. Share ideas collected/ discussed in a civil mannner. Learn off each other then evolve the conversation in a possitive direction rather then an argument or some sort of teaching lesson.

Is Junior even the role model we want for our poly players? He’s overweight, only puts in every so often and prefers to play like a halfback rather than a middle forward. Plus some of his ‘questionable’ off field acquaintances.

Not with that dickhead haircut. What's worse is Junior is capable of 8/10 games. But 75% of time backs into defense and passes and gives us a 5/10 game. Just run straight and hard.

Side note - He played great at lock forward Samoa. Perhaps put him there with Walker on bench

Hopgood is a great defender and an NRL player. Our probl3m is a squad stacked with 6/10 players. Thats why I am saying signing a guy like Timoko isnt going to make us much better. Replacing a 5 with a 6 is not game changing unless do it across the whole squad.
We need to swap out a few of our 5s/6s with 8/10 players.

Sua is a great signing. We need 2 more at his level or higher. And replace the 5s/6s with juniors with high ceilings.


Lorenzo can take Pezet who is a 5/6 for example. Even if he only performs at a 4 or 5 it wont kill us till he develops. There is also the decent possibility he plays at a 6/7 level and improves is slightly. And the odd chance he kills it and is an 7-8.

Bamblet, Koina,Bloomfield,Petrus are a few others who may need to be considered for 2027

I agree that the succession planning has been diabolical. We’ve lost a lot of players and unfortunately we’re seem to be content with replacing them with merely serviceable players. You can carry a few of them in your squad if they’re surrounded by quality players but you can’t have the majority of the team made up of them. We need to either buy quality players or replace with them juniors who have a potentially high ceiling.

Hopgood is a 6/10 and getting 8/10 money. Same as Penisini who ive defended for 3yrs. Paid as a 8/10 but is now a 5/10.

We can bag Morretti or Riley Smith but these guys would be on relative peanuts. They are playing to their pay cheque and arent a problem. The problems are Jnrs,Will's,Pezet,Mattos,Hopgoods.
Probably 2 million pissed up wall on guys who are worth 60% of what being paid. Jnrs on 900k apparently. You could find a bloke for 300k to get a similar output.
