Just want to say, I love Beau Scott. Tough, really frigging tough and gets through a mountain of work. And it's quality work at that.

Scott's about the best addition to our pack since... forever (well the past 20 years anyway)?

He might be getting on in years and isn't flashy, but he just knows how to play the game hard and smart.

Just what we need to mix in with our pack of young developing guys like Tepai, hard raw guys like Ma'u, and guys with talent like Edwards/Gower.

Wonder how Rammy is feeling now about signing Foz ? Does he still think we signed the wrong Manly half ?

Well done Parra. Always good to see those grubs squirm.
Gareth Widdop will be sending a nice big gift basket to Mannah for his work on fat Sam Kasiano.
Well played Eels...looking good.

Let's touch base at the end of the year and see if he turns out to be better than Glen Morrison

Too early to call on Beau Scott. Loved his play. Want consistency.
The whole pack of forwards is going well.

A good comparison there Staggs. Morro was a legend for The Eels but boy oh boy Scott brings something very rare. Hes a definite intimidator and he loves doing it. Tough as teak. You couldnt cut him with an axe. Am loving what he brings. I reckon he intimidates not only the opposition but also his own team mates. Him and BA could be brothers. Lol.

No I don't anymore. But there are a couple of things that have to be ackknowledged.

One that it is the team we have around him and Corey Norman's presence that makes him shine so well.

And that if we were to swap them around, DCE for Foran, I dare say DCE would also be killing it here. Anyone who thinks Manly has a great forward pack has rocks in their head.

But my main issue with foran is the price we have him on the books and that hasn't changed. Full freight is ridiculous, but then again we are presently run by a ridiculous group of individuals.

He said that??

Like I said above Stag, I still think DCE is the better playmaker of the two it's just that we have the talant and wizardry(Norman) around him that allows Foran to play his tough no nonsense game with a little bit of extra play making duties thrown in. In particular he is now learning/developing his kicking game. Something that he left to DCE in the past.

Mate, you don't know how much he's on the books for. In fact, unlike with Hayne, we don't even have the evidence that we're unable to put a competitive team around Foran.

I agree DCE is a better playmaker, but is it possible that Foran made DCE look better, and is now making Norman look better?

I see DCE more like Milford, Barba and Sandow. They all have great assets to their game and in the right environment (i.e good pack, well structure team, a team with confidence) they do well but these players won't inspire or build confidence. I also think his ball playing and kicking game is hugely underrated, especially his short game.

Mate that is ridiculous and you know it. There was that much said and reported on it at the time that to suggest we don't know, is to suggest that we don't know that Donald Trump is running for President.

Of course he did, but that could be said for all good halves pairings. As for DCE, he will now have inconsistant games dut to the strength of the forward pack in front of him, no matter who his halves partner is.

Yeah, DCE is a pretender imo who will be found out this year without a halves partner or decent pack. A Tim Smith/Brett Finch career level player at best.

We signed the best one.
