Norman > morgan..... Morgan has not only Thurston but Granville who ball plays and Coote who is one of the biggest ball playing fullbacks in the comp

Gordon's good enough. He's no Hayne, but neither are the fullbacks for 75% of the teams in the comp. We'll be fine if the forwards aim up, if we play for 80mins, and if we don't have brain snaps in close games.

BA is doing good things here. I wonder if Ricky stayed what our team would look like. Doubt we sign watmough or Foran. Maybe we have Siezer - Tapine.

I reckon seizer signed for $500k reported at the time would be best bang for buck half in comp

Hayne is never coming back mate, we need to move on.

Gordon has been solid and done a good job but I can't see us becoming an elite level side with him at the back.

Sorry my bad on the tackle mistake.

As for the opinion on ability, I stand by what I said. I expect more from someone of his physique in attack. Defense he will never be a machine due to his size and weight, which is expected.

But his go forward at the moment, is ordinary to say the least.

Kind of like Jason Taumalolo when he first came into the NRL. Lets hope he eventually develops like Jason did, and have you noticed, he is not known for his defense either.

I expect more go forward from him. He should be doing 120+ almost every week at least. Not 70's and 80's, that is pathetic anyway you slice it.

So 3 out of 5 games he makes 30+ tackles in just under 50 minutes (that's a rate of 50 per game); and he's at the 75m per game mark (in just under 50 minutes) - which is a rate of 120m per game.

And you're whinging because he doesn't tackle enough, and you want him making 120m per game (which no backrower makes in under 50mins per game).

You are a weird guy Rammy...

Let's edit your rant mate? We'll whinge that, with the impressive impact he is having, he should be playing all 80??

Even Hayne is no Hayne according to you

c'mon Bigfella, he already had his dig in the post - he obviously thinks 1/4 of all fullbacks currently in the NRL are 2 time DallyM award winners

if he made 50 tackles, 5 try assists, 10 line breaks, 20 offloads, ran 200 metres, kicked 10 from 10 as goalkicker and scored 3 tries all in a GF win plus won the Clive Churchill Rammy would still whinge about him

No. Shit defender. 6 missed tackles yesterday with another 2 ineffective. Worst defender on the field.

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. His one great skill is lining up against smaller defenders, other than that he is shit. Part of me hopes Daley picks him for Origin because he'll be exposed as the fraud he is. Was the shittest part of the loss, him scoring the final try

He puts defenders in two minds nearly as well as anyone in the comp though.

I felt at times we were guilty of paying him too much respect.

Because of his size, he appears to take more of the bog standard hitups to draw in more defenders. He's definitely not getting as wide as Paulo, nor like Taumololo is he taking runs from quick play the balls against receding defence. I reckon he could be either (or a Tookey/union style hit line, turn & offload player), but I am concerned over his potential asking price if he doesn't start returning better stats

And rightly so. A guy with his physical gifts should make 60 tackles, and 400m.

You guys all need to bow down and accept that scrawny rangers are the best - especially Anthony Watts.

That's because he is good at isolating himself against poor or smaller defenders, e.g. Norman/Jennings. He is probably the best at it in the comp, probably the best I've seen ever. But he needs to be good at it because it's all he has.
I reckon teams this year will change their defensive structure against him and he'll go to being near ineffectual.

I think we showed too much respect as well, but I'll be interested to go back and watch it to see how many times he ran at the Norman/Jennings gap as opposed to the Norman/Scott one

You mean Norman / Mau?
