So Fifita wants to come to Sydney to chase a competition? Great, the team who have won the last 3 and are favourites to win this year would like to sign him on $850k. No but let's go to the roosters, who are losing about 5 to 6 marquee players at the end of the year for $825k instead. What's $25k when you're already giving up about $250k a year to leave the Gold Coast, not to mention the additional money sacrificed to the cost of living between Sydney and QLD.
I thought a player manager's job was to maximise their client's wages, not decease them. This seems to be happening all too frequently. The player manager is actually costing themselves a large amount of money by doing this. I simply don't believe these parasites would do that to themselves.
It would also appear that the NRL integrity unit and salary cap auditors are all cool with this. I struggle to think what these people must do all day at work. The only time they've ever caught a team out cheating is when its been self-reported, or reported by a whistle-blower. They have not found 1 case of systemic salary cap rorting on their own.
But there'll be nothing to see here. Just another day in the NRL.
