Yeh that's Marcelo Montoya I was talking about yesterday. Who's your tip for the grandfinal so I can put it in thread.

Thanks Tigerm. Great story. Plenty of detail. So good to know Jack Bird said something and some player might sign with us.

Well, he's marquee now he's with us hahaha
It's a bit ironic that his announcement comes just after Horsey saying he's staying at the Raiders.
I reckon there was one spot left and we decided to go with Bird.

On my estimates, we are still riding in a golden chariot packed full of treasures for factory and sub marquee.

Bird is a solid 40 minuter.

During spoonbowl we could have replaced one of our year 10 students with Bird and maybe kept them to 50.

He won’t solve any problems, but he also won’t create too many if used judiciously.

We need to train him out of crabbing. Affix some electrodes to his buttocks and zap him if he keeps up his game day tribute to crustaceans.

We are definitely still short a middle forward. I'd take Hetherington for sure. Not a world beater but definitely a lot of potential.

Any word on Bateman? Will need to get it sorted before Nov 1 because if he's not coming back then we need to find a new 2nd rower

Jim, I said earlier that it was ironic that Bird's signing confirmation came straight after Corey Horsburgh's announcing that he's staying in the nation's capital....meaning there was always only one roster spot available. Well that's my gut feeling.
It's the same with Hetherington. His announcement or Montoya's will depend on what's happening with Bateman.
You can bet your left sensitive body part that if another signing is officially announced, Bateman is not coming back, or the other way around.
