The down hill skier is simply not worth the $ he is on, we have already paid overs to Brooks, which just causes more problems within the club when a player can not deliver in relation to his contract price.Hopefully young Wakeham now given a chance will solve part of the halves debacle we have at the club atm.

Give Laurie a few matches to see if can consistently trail off the hip of the ball carrier and if not, bring Bula in to use the squad space vacated by Ken.

I wouldn't be writing Wakeham off yet, I'd be hoping for a 1 or a 6, the wings and centres should improve with the current group imo?

I'd be delighted if Wakeham turned out to be a gun half. I'm not expecting him to turn us into a winning team this week. Quite happy to give him the rest of the season for him to develop his skills. In the meantime at least he can kick goals.

So we let Ken Marmalade go. Why and who are we signing in his place ??
If we had to do on thing right re our pathways we should set up an academy just for halves.
We bring in specialised coaches and throw a tonne of money at it and get that right. If we only got that right we would be miles ahead of where we are now. Look at Moses and Cleary, 20 years ago they would be run of the mill halves, now they are on over a mill a year (and that doesn't Include anything sweeteners) because the game has f**k all decent halves.
