Now that there is a great idea.

Manly did a far better job in turning Tommy Talau into a 1st grader in 1 year than the Tigers did in about 3 years.
Could the reasons be that these backs go alright elsewhere is because they go to a club that's got good fwds and a coach.
It seems that we're doing alright in pathways unearthing these stars but stuff things up later.
I think we need to stop handing out development and top 30 spots willy nilly otherwise we miss out on keeping the gun players. Just a gut feeling.

Large and Brooks will be a combo at Manly if and when DCE moves on. Ha ha, two ex wests tigers players.
We could be faced with the possibility of losing both Large and Galvin. I can't see us keeping Fainu and Galvin either.
Good luck Benji because it's a case of damn if you do and damned if you don't. If we win that's awesome but it will drive up the value of these players.
Maybe having a plethora of halves was a master-stroke as we might need some in the near future. :)

The Broncos from the frying pan into the fire.
Madge won’t be able to resist this offer and NSW prob will let him do what he wants
I really hope he takes the job so we can know once and for all see if he can still perform at club level and not just soo. If he was clever he’d resist but he won’t be able to

Maguire is only worth a shot in a comp encompassing 3 matches a year & where the opposition r missing key irreplaceable players like Tino Fiegler Munster.Ud b mad to consider the over-rated one dimensional fraudster for a head coaching role of an NRL team.My advise to any prospective employer like the Broncos is check out his performance in the horrific WT mockumentary b4 u make a decision.

If we do start winning, then maybe the players aren’t so keen to leave?

That's the test isn't it but if a player is presented with a bucket load of cash, 9 out of 10 would take it, ala Luai who could easily be in more grand finals. Ya never know, it could be with us :)
Luai and Galvin could be the most exciting halves pairing in the NRL for years to come.
It's a darn shame we can't get another big bopper though. I'd even take Nelson as he seems fit enough for a couple of more years.

He only needs to last the first 10 mins hahaha

It will ultimately end up being a salary cap decision, for all players, it’s the price you pay for being successful
Look at the pennies, though the they and the Storm keep producing

Great news about Lachlan Galvin being the Rugby League Players Association Rookie of the Year for 2024. What if Luai gets the DayM??
Even 5/8 of the year because I think Jarome has been more consistent and dynamic than Burton and Dearden.
Surely that would mean we have the best halves pairing next year. ;)

Just a joke the Hodgo thing.

Failed in the ESL, failed as assistant to the wallabies and of 9 billion folk on earth, we get a lousy 7 candidates. That’s extraordinary, it’s pathetic.

No-one at our club headhunting the best assistants at any of the top 8 sides, no one approaching recent NRL coaches who are up to speed with the contemporary game. Hodgo was last coaching 3 years ago or close to. Hopefully he understands the rules.

The rancid stench of the wretched matey continues its odorous way throughout the joint.

Elsewhere, the count of the 2005 alumni who haven’t had their snouts since in the trough is reckoned to way less than half of the team.

Robbie did his best to pull a few things up earlier this year, I was conflicted, and then he got smashed. A number of bad performances follow and In retrospect, I now think he was spot on.

It seems to me that Benji is looking for yes men.

Richo should have manned up and intervened.

And the amount of spin laid on to justify this outrage and scandal….

BED5ACD9-E29F-4E1F-AFE9-66B81FBBBDAB.jpeg

And locking ourselves in for 2 years lol. Don’t bother about seeing how he does for a year, just chuck more of our club money at him. The chumpsters will sign up again on Richos robot debt scheme.

I suppose Hodgo a billion offers. Too many emails to read.

Bellamy and Ivan in a bidding war? How long has that been on-foot for? All season was it? Are they considering giving up the game because they didn’t land their man?

What a f**king shambles.

And we have the temerity to ask ourselves whether or not we deserve the spoon?

If the Dally Ms had an award for “the laziest and most grifting of clubs” we’d be unbackable before the season commenced.

The damage is done. Like @macnaz, (perhaps) I only hope he takes his mid season holidays at the same time as Benji.

We had such a bad season this year, we might have done better without a coach. Richo should look into that, as our current coaching staff situation looks like a superannuation scheme for diagnosed malingerers and class A idiots.
