Tell the kid anything to sign him up.

As for for players failing standards, not surprised.

We can’t demand a culture of excellence when the flag of the matey flaps freely over the white elephant!

I think we pay better than a council job and playing park footy on the weekends, so the club should expect better, I don’t think it should really matter who’s in charge.

I wonder how significant the 3 year extension to young gun Heamasi Makasini is going to be.
I've watched him play a couple of times and he can be seen on YouTube highlights.
He has a real class about him. That aura of a superstar. He reminds me of a taller version of Panthers star Brian To'o.
Imagine if he keeps getting better to partner Bula, Luai, Galvin, Laulilii, Skelton and who knows what other additions we'll have in 2026. WOW!

That report about May makes me feel more likely that we will get him. Players sign with clubs because of the coach. Out of all the coaches he is speaking to, who do you think can relate the most to how May is feeling?

Benji has always been an open and honest person. I'd be shocked if the two of them weren't able to connect just based on that.

It’s also our responsibility to get their obligations embedded into their fat heads.
Isn't that why they have managers?

I think we're all on the same page, there is no excuse for turning up to preseason not ready, they are all well paid, would be interesting to know if it's a player who has already played FG or some of the kids?
It shouldn't matter, but the FG's certainly should know better.

That’s a good point, hopefully there’s some symmetry.

Another tactic would be to drag Jerome into the fight because May grew up with him.

And I live deep in it here.

All those smuggy lads, they argue and compete, but they are extended family, wherever they go.

They’ve been playing park and school footy with each other, there’s a hierarchy.

The islanders, when they are young, they get out and about in sports. Big in the retailers working. All our kids mix and all that.

Us Wests Tigers are packing a lot of ex panthera heat.

The panthers have greatly benefited from an amazing network of informants and contacts in the area. Very few good ones escape the net. Their secret agents in schools is next level.

I do share your concern regarding kickers though mate.
A goal kicker is a specialist's job. For example, they very rarely miss easy attempts at goal these days and I'd say it would be a high percentage that missed goals were very close.
In our day of toe pokers, we were very erratic.
I remember playing against Mal and he missed 3 sitters and it was not considered a big deal. However, watching him run over the top of opponents was what people came to see. ;)
I think the ball std is important these days.
I'm guessing that the ball the NRL use is the same right across the league and it doesn't change all year.
If someone is still playing or are in the know, maybe they can confirm the ball is a Size 5 Steden.
The NRLW need to use smaller footballs as they struggle to find touch from the centre of the field and I've seen them just take a tap instead. They often leave sideline conversion attempts well short too.

Code Sports reported at least two of the players in the firing line will have to front the board to explain their lack of fitness.

“It begs the question, do you really want to play this game and what do you want to play for?

Getting serious and rightly so.

A line in the sand was drawn before the players went for their break. They were told, don't come back unfit.
So they can't say they were not warned, neither should they be.
The ironic thing about Smith's comments is the Roosters weren't too happy about his gut and his performances before getting injured.
He was also given a breach notice for missing a training session, remember that one?
Smith isn't a fitness freak by all means. Look after your own nest Smithy.

Terrell May could still come to the Tigers as Josh Ado-Carr has confirmed he's off to the dogs.
This may make it a squeeze for the puppies to fit May in ?????
