Reynolds at 7 along with Luai at 6 could be unreal. Latu coming in as a utility or at 13 can work as well.

The only issue is we don't want to hold Latu back too much.

We have to be thinking about winning the comp and not making the 8.
We are not one signing away from a premiership, Reynolds would be good but he's not to us what the roosters think dce will be for them. We are miles off the pace.

Also re Robati
A Broncos star stepped between his teammate Teui “TC” Robati and a young woman moments after witnessing the NRL player indecently assault her during a night out in Brisbane.
Just minutes after a jury cleared him of two rape charges on Wednesday afternoon, Robati admitted to unlawfully and indecently assaulting another young woman during a separate night out in Brisbane, witnessed by teammate Patrick Carrigan..

I definitely don't think Reynolds wins us a premiership but I think we have a squad that can compete now. A couple of edge players but I think we have them on the books already and some more forwards and I can't see any flaw within the team.

They do have to perform. Brisbane should be a chance to win the comp this year with the squad they have but for some reason they are playing like puss.

I can see why you sign Reynolds as when he is on he is elite.

He sounds like someone who should be locked up.

If we are actively chasing Reynolds then I would assume the plan is to move Luai back to 6?

I'm really not fussed with Reynolds. I'd rather see Latu move to 7 and build a combo with Luai. If they click they could legit be our long term halves combo.

Id like to see us splash some cash on a marquee level lock. You could move Twal to starting prop and then have Hunt and Pole coming off bench.

Turuva and Skelton are excellent wingers and To'a has just exploded from nowhere. I genuinely love Doeuihi but I feel he just doesn't have the pace for centre, and will no doubt be replaced by Makisini, or even May.

With the signing of KPP I feel we are one marquee middle forward away from being a genuine force in the NRL.

Reports this evening that Reynolds has knocked us back and has signed a 1 year deal with the Broncos

Didn't the NRL ban Pascoe for 6 months doing similar with Farrah?
That’s not a massive offer..Galvin offered $1 mill, Reynolds only $750 k… no wonder he declined.. .. He’s not going to separate from his family for 2 years for that, when Broncos wouldn’t be too far off. …. Ah well, they’ve made their bed..

Yep. I was thinking this when I saw the news he'd knocked us back.

While the suspension of Pascoe was a godsend we were busted for a salary cap violation which we had to carry for 2 years, and the contract wasn't registered as it was drawn up. On top of that I Farrah was barred from any coaching or admin role for 2 years after his retirement.

But the NRL will register Reynolds contract without a question being asked.

If it is registered Richardson needs to go the media with this and get them throthing at the mouth over it. No point going direct to the NRL as they'll do nothing except spin BS about why it's different, even though it's exactly the same.

It's insane isn't it. We got busted for this. They need to count Reynolds future coaching contract into the salary cap.

Don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen 05. Like I said the best bet is to hand all the info off to a journo. Not that they care about the Tigers, but if the others clubs are going to treat us like a feeder club then the least we do is try and make their lives hard.

Why Reynolds rejected Wests Tigers, and an extra $1 million
By Robert Dillon and Christian Nicolussi
Updated June 16, 2025 — 10.54amfirst published June 15, 2025 — 1.35pm

Adam Reynolds said the appeal of being coached by Benji Marshall – and playing alongside Jarome Luai – seriously tempted him to join the Wests Tigers, but ultimately could not bring himself to leave his young family in Brisbane, even if it meant sacrificing close to $1m.

Reynolds is expected to ink a one-year extension with the Brisbane Broncos in the coming weeks, then later move into a coaching role at Red Hill, but only after the Tigers went to great lengths to try and convince him to return home to Sydney on a two-year deal worth around $750,000 a season.

Tigers CEO Shane Richardson made a hit-and-run visit to the Queensland capital last week to see Reynolds’ the Tigers’ dream, while Marshall also spoke to the veteran half on how he thought he and Luai would work together.

The Tigers picked up the phone to Reynolds the moment Lachie Galvin made it known he was headed for the early exit, and while it was always going to take something big to prize the halfback, who turns 35 next month out of the Queensland capital, Richardson knew he had to at least try.

Reynolds spent six years playing in the Balmain competition as a junior, including five seasons with Leichhardt Juniors. He also played with Marshall at Souths and remains friends with Richardson after their time together at the Bunnies.

“Yes, I was seriously tempted,” Reynolds said. “Benji is a great coach, I’ve always had a lot of time for him – I idolised him as a player when I was growing up – but at the end of the day, family is the most important thing, and if I did leave for Sydney, it would have been without the family, and that was going to be too hard.

“The Tigers have a great spine, and I spoke to Benji about how me and Jarome could have worked. He’s an instinctive player who brings a lot of energy and plays off the cuff, while I’m that organising half.

“The biggest thing for me was I believed I could have added a lot to that team – that I could have added a lot of value to the Tigers.

“But with a wife and four young kids, and being away from them for the best part of two years, I just couldn’t do it to them. No amount of money could have changed my mind. I read reports I was giving up $1m by wanting to stay with Brisbane, and it probably wasn’t far off.

“But I love Brisbane, I’ve been on this journey with the boys here the past four years, and we’ve got some unfinished business.”

Reynolds is keen to move into coaching once he retires, and that is a genuine option should he stay at Red Hill.

He would’ve been a great fit for a no. of reasons not least coz he’s a good person & is a really good role model
