As long as one of those teams invests in developing all the great talent around Campbelltown way. Look at all the kids from the druitt the panthers have in their system. We could do the same for all the kids out airds, min'o way etc
Jersey Flegg is at the end of development of players so making a Wests Tigers team would make it a special squad and one step closer in making an NRL debut. It's an under 21 team, so basically men, not kids.
If all three grades of Wests Tigers trained at the COE, all the players could see how the NRL team trains and plays. Just like it used to be.
The comps lends itself to 3rd grade. Some of our NRL players have played in that comp, like Brandon Tumeth and Feledy after they made their debuts.
Having 3 wests tigers senior teams makes it easier the develop club culture.
For example, in the old days, when we had 3 grades, they would all be coached in the same fashion as the first grade coach wanted it. This meant going up or down in grade made for an easy transition. Plays and defensive patterns wouldn't have to be explained, they would slip straight into the next grade.
If this isn't viable, then at least our reserve grade side should be just that, a Wests Tigers one, often training at the same ground and running opposed sesions. They would all meet after training for a BBQ and mingle.
It makes Benji's job easier to chat to lower grades players too and watch them train.
