I had a look at our run home and gee we have some tough games, especially in the form we are in and with Sheens selection policy. Tips and form seemed to go out the window this weekend and with the Dragons beating the Sharks that brings them back into contention for 8th position.

Again I look at our practice of holding home games at the bigger stadiums (I know why but I still don't agree) and think what advantages we give up in games that are going to be critical to our season. There are some games we are going to struggle with (Dogs and Storm) but we must beat the Rooster and Dragons. A win over the Storm or Dogs will be massive!!!

At best I see us only getting as high as 8th (perhaps with for and against) and as low as 10th.

Can anyone see us doing any better?

I think it all depends on when and then how Ellis comes back. Our run to the finals depends on him imo.
Im resting my hopes on that.

Our Run Home

v Cowboys (A)
v Souths (A)
v Parramatta (H)
v Dragons (H)
v Bulldogs (A)
v Roosters (A)
v Storm (H)

doesn't help that over half the games aren't at home either. We'll be lucky to score 2 wins out of those games in current form.

I hope we can rise to the occassion but there are games there we have no right to expect to win. Parra is the only one we should win hands down (and we all know what can happen in those circumstances)

After the cowboys all games are in Sydney. Roosters, souths and dogs might be away but the grounds are very neutral.

If the storm have the minor premiership wrapped up by round 26 they'll rest players.

If we play well we'll shit the 8 in, it's really upto us.

Agree. Apart from Dragons and Roosters (who happen to be two of the worst teams in our run home), we have beaten all the other teams, or at least given them a big run for their money.

With the roster we have, there is no excuse for not making it from here.

Don't know why but just have a felling that we will win 5 of our remaining games and make the eight easily. On form we shouldn't but just have a good feeling.

Realistically we have been ordinary for most of the season, unless there is a dramatic turn around on our run home, this season is going to end in tears whether we sneak into the final 8 or not.

Would be a complete and utter disgrace to miss the 8 with this squad.

The year has already been a complete and utter disgrace. With our roster we should never have been in this position having to fight for a shithouse 8th spot.

I get that but we've had some things go against us - Benji has had some shockers, Blair has been a dud buy, Ellis has been injured for a huge chunk of the season and we lost the first choice fullback on game 1 of the season.

Cant see to many wins over the next few weeks, they may lift and win three but really I dont think we will make the eight. Our form has been shocking for 90% of the year, we lack pace, have no real no7,our no1 is all over the place, we are down on front rowers or should I say quality front rowers and we have a rookie no6.

I think this year will end before the finals like so many before it. Love to be wrong but just cant see it

we lost a rookie fullback in the first game we were hoping he was going to be good but it wasnt like losing billy slater, so mitch brown should have been put in as fullback, benji has had schockers worst halfback in the comp, all from the super coach thats why the season has been terrible.

But has the team performed any better in previous years at this stage of the season? As far as I can recall we've been erratic, all over the place and seriously inconsistent every year under Sheens (please correct me if I'm wrong). This year is no different. And things won't change till top knob is knocked off.
