Must admit I was ever so pleased that we signed him , I saw in him a bit of a tough prop who was not going to be pushed around. To a certain extent that was indeed the case however his biggest attribute whilst playing for the Dragons was his quick play the balls that kept the attack going .

Most disappointed that he left us so quickly more so after everything that the club had done for him and his family. As many have said - you can’t blame a player for seeking the best salary for himself, but to my way of thinking he should had stayed for another season and then seek the higher money elsewhere.

At the end of the day we were ever so fortunate that James Graham was put on the market in a ‘ clearance sale ‘ by the Bulldogs and he was keen to play in the Big Red V .
So we came out on top in a big way and unfortunately for Packer his skills have now well and truly waned .

We didnt want to lose Packer, he just got an offer that was too good to refuse, and we couldnt match it nor wanted to match it, he received the big spill from Cleary about getting on the bus with the Tigpies and was pretty pissed off that Cleary got off the bus at caugth the train to penriff... Since he spent time in Prison he needs all the cash he can get to set up he's family,he will be limited with what he can do after footy, he won't be appearing on NRL360 etc , he has a criminal record will make it hard to get a "normal" job in alot of places, he has turned he's life around,he came to us as a criminal, he left as a Saint, wish him the best..
Saints put him through a university degree in business

Players are well within their rights to get as much money as they can during their limited careers without being flogs.

They are also well within their rights to be professional and perform to their ability all the time, not just when they feel like it; being that they have a limited timeframe to earn as much as they can by performing as best as they can.

If you want the big bucks, you need to earn it or if you want peanuts, you can act like a monkey.

I don't think it's unjustified.
If Packer hadn't dropped his load and was still playing great footy each week, we'd be praising him, wishing he was still here.
Rubbish..

If Packer was playing great footy each week no one would be praising him..

they’d be laying the boot into the club for letting him go..
