Dropping Gray to move Mitchell back to fullback last week after failing at pivot, was sheer idiocy. The kid is a livewire. Not sure his deal status but there would be plenty of clubs knocking if he’s going to be stuck in seconds.

The obvious move would be to swap Wighton to 6 and Mitchell to left centre.

Yeah I think for some reason Souths think they can’t move Latrell to centres because he’s their marquee/highest paid, but you can definitely put your Ferarri at centre if you use them (something we’re still inconsistent at with Best).

Write a forum letter to the Knights - demanding AOB's sacking, complaining about why we don't win, and at the same time demanding the re-signing of highly sought after, high value, cap friendly players like Hastings, Elliot, Hetherington - all on the same money. Could demand Sully resign also - bloke doesn't know what he's doing.

Maybe throw in some correlation = causation playing stats, just to back it all up.......

Not a single person has said we should keep Hastings. Strawman argument. Who’s saying that Hastings’ $7-800K salary is good value? If your point is so strong why do you have to draw a ludicrous comparison like this to reinforce it?

$400K is about the average salary for a starting player in the NRL. Elliott plays an important position, for longer than average minutes for a player in that position, at a higher work rate than the average player in that position, and we are empirically a better team when he’s fit. He makes somewhere between $450K-500K per season. Somewhat above average money for a somewhat above average player. If you listed the problems with our roster management, no sane person would even consider him as one of them.

D Saf, Brailey, Hetho, obviously Hastings, all overpaid, no one is saying otherwise. It’s just this one player everyone thinks you’re being really weird about.

Explain what’s wrong with him, as a player. What aspect of his play is the issue? Address it, directly. Otherwise, just move on.

He looked shattered in the presser, but he was right. The backs were ill-disciplined, gave too many penalties away, dropped far too much ball, and handed the game to the Titans.

He took ownership, importantly said it’s time for alternatives which is him telling the media the likes of Cogger are open to be replaced.

I’m losing faith, but I just don’t see a better option out there that’s viable.

I can’t stand him as a coach and i legitimately hope he’s gone soon, BUT, this particular game was on the players not him. The errors were inexcusable and allowed the Titans back in the game and that’s not on the coach. Saying that though I still hope he’s sacked and depressed he probably won’t be.

Not sure why O’Brien took ownership of that. He was not to blame for that debacle on any level. It just shows how weak the team is mentally than NOONE put their hand up and said it was on them and not him. A good on field leader would have addressed the media questions aimed at the coach and said he is not to blame. 120 of the last 160 minutes he had us humming again for the most part. Not sure it matters. It’s over. He can do no more or less.

He won’t be removed until the fans stop turning up. But they are going to continue to do so. And that is all they need to hold their ground. Don’t hold your breath. He is safe as houses.

Gardiner logic tonite = we lost to Titans after leading for 78 mins. Close game.

Souths defeat Brisbane = we are close to being a force.
