Regardless of what you think of him as a coach he comes across as a real narcissist in press conferences.
There’s times to be combative but other times it doesn’t hurt to just accept the critique and try to understand the reasoning.
All he had to say was it shows the people care and want success and we want that the same thing, but in typical AOB fashion he’d rather sit on his high horse and flex his superiority complex

I get his point about booing them last night specifically. We were executing poorly but were actually competing whilst hugely undermanned.

At the game I made a similar comment when the booing started. I don’t do it but there are times when they definitely deserve it but I don’t think the 1st half last night was one of them.

That being said it seemed to be pretty effective so let’s boo them from the kick off next week and see how it goes.

Agreed. It’s refreshing to have a coach who brings the playing group together while putting fans offside by questioning their intelligence. What a way to galvanise the club after a rousing win.

It’s not like Knights fans boo often and decided last night was the one to start. It was obviously a culmination of how bad we’ve played for ages. You’d hope after he’s had a chance to calm the f**k down he realises that and offers an apology. He should be thankful. They don’t come out a different team in the second half if they’re not booed.

You are pretty selective in what you read - just the bits where you think you can come up with awesome one liners, but not quite pull them off and just look like a dickhead.

I’m also on the bandwagon of he’s probably not the right coach for us.

But that’s the thing - the presser isn’t held after they have had some time to analyse and process. It’s like 20 minutes after the game has finished. They have barely had time to talk to the players. Emotions are still high (or low). It makes for either great viewing or a train wreck.

Agree he shouldn’t have worded it the way he did, but I’m also glad he stuck up for the players. What sort of leader doesn’t?
