Yep, the excuse for not announcing the interim coach was 'we need to talk to the players first'.

Ok well couldn't you have told the players and then done your inept press conference?

Complete muppets.

That is not correct....

Seriously... Please stop whining and whinging.... its unbelievable... we should all be happy with what has transpired today....

You don't have to agree but you're sooooooooooo wrong. It's amazing people like you can't see how inept that press conference looked to outsiders. Lancaster is such a prime example of why the club is in this position.
At a time when the club is literally at its lowest ebb to have an untouchable chairman strut out arrogantly and dodge perfectly reasonable questions, blame perfectly justifiable media criticism on "personal agendas" and to not even have worked out who the hell is taking over 24 hours before the team is announced for the Anzac Day game is so pathetically amateur its funny. No wonder the team plays like clueless morons. Dragons management has given us Dragons footy.
As Jack Gibson said, winning starts in the front office. It's why we are so good at losing.
i agree with all of this

I respect your opinion mate. Mine is slightly different. That's fine. We do share the same conclusion. Hopefully I'll sleep tonight after listening to Keary's (and Ginger's) comments. I so look forward to them.

Well, he is finally gone. He should have been gone in Nov 2025.

If Brad Arthur wants the job, I think he will get it. Somithing of a huge challenge to turn it around.

Righto GS, look forward to you shortly sharing Carayannis' recent update of BOD unable to decide on interim coach, training cancelled for tomorrow.

You keep telling yourself how great and professional the presser all seemed today though mate.

Since when do journos have a monopoly on the truth ?

I have never stated the Board are professionally run..and in fact have stated the opposite for at least a decade. If you even did 20 seconds worth of searching the forum you could find this out...

You come on here and attack people falsely.... Its really quite sad....

Its not that hard to see that progress has been made today....Is it going to change things instantly ?

No...but let people enjoy some small wins...Otherwise the alternative is fold up shop ( Due to the Board )...

The Next appointments are critical....Make or Break...

With the year and the club in flames, the interim coach needs to get the boys on board and get a few wins and show some love.

Whoever they pick needs to get them off the bottom of the table. Hoping Willie will put his hand up.

You're doing the attacking today mate, I'm running defence. I make a few observations about the press conference which others have raised, yet you seem determined to try and run me out of the forum today, which is hardly like you. You're also taking the approach others take regularly with myself, happy to dish it out, I give it back and all of a sudden I'm the bad guy 😂

The concerns myself and others have raised today about our BOD and their professionalism are completely warranted, yes we have agreed it is great news, however that doesn't mean all of a sudden the people who made this decision are without question does it?

The "mutual agreement" is also open for interpretation. What does that mean?

Usually, you'd assume it would involve a financial exchange, however, there are other possibilities that we may not like.

The presser was a bit hit and miss, but the reality was that keeping SF on as HC had become a deeper burden, therefore the decision to end it, basically on Sunday evening was indeed the right call.

Why hasn't a replacement been appointed? Well, there are many permutations that could have played out. Obviously the preferiti being Young and therein lies the problem. Maybe he was going to be appointed, but as some have pointed out there are factions in the Board that just don't want another Nepotistic scenario, plus some other red flags have made their way into the media also. Ennis, I believe was on Fox on Sunday and Willie team lost on Saturday after being decimated with injury. Maybe these guys have already knocked back the interim position, I mean it is a poison challis right now. You're HC ambitions dashed if the Dragon's season doesn't fire a shot with you in charge.

It has been reported that Hornby would take the interim role, but only if he is guaranteed the HC role from '27 onwards. Cheika is another, but the Roosters played yesterday, and some commentary that when he applied previously (when SF got the job) he was summarily dismissed by the Board. Arthur is in England, so a lot of negotiation take place there.

A massive amount of Due Diligence is required on all these prospective applicants.
