Your right I'm I'm Hornby, I have changed my tune for the reason off results and recruitment. I wanted to give Flanno time to turn our results around to which he has not done. Other people did not give him a chance because of his past discretions that I didn't like either, but he did serve his time and I was very hopefullof success.
On new coaches I would like to see Wllie Talau or Peter Wallace. Willie has impressed me with the regies and Peter does seem like a cool operator, other than that there is not much around.
I definately do not want any old heads like Hasler Arthur Semibold Barrett etc

I'm totally convinced Scumulla didn't deserve their premiership, Peptide and salary cap scandal, the NRL let it slide because Scumulla was an original superleague darling defector, on top of that let's rub the faces of the St George fan base into the crap.

Agreed DT, the next coach needs to be a modern day coach, Wallace or Talau are both worthy candidates.

Agree with this I'm Hornby. The younger coaching troupe of Wallace, Hannay, Ciraldo seem to be taking over and are more in tune with the new game and how it's played. I know that as a + 25 year cricket coach, the T20 revolution ended my tenure as a coach. The modern player/batsman does not want to listen to an old bloke like me talking about batting structure, taking your time, respecting the bowling. I became a dinosaur and this season just gone is the first season I haven coached since 2001, AND I loved it! Maybe there is a message there for Flanno, time waits for no-one, especially old men!

Is Hornby an option? He was our last premiership captain and I think he would be a perfect character with a rich club history and popularity across both sides of the merger. He has worked under our last premiership coach for a couple of years now, I would be happy if he took the reins and took the challenge of rebuilding our mojo.

Benny Hornby would be an an ideal choice esp with the Dragons DNA
Highly respected by all and has served his apprentice ship under arguably Leagues NO 1 Coach Wayne Bennett
Talau from all reports is doing an amazing job with the NSW Cup side and should be his assistant

The Sharks forum was in ruptures when we found out Flanno Junior was coming to your dump of a club. We knew exactly what you were getting and going to go through with his father as the coach.

We laughed even louder when we read about everyone was so excited to see Atkinson come to your club for 500k. 500 K for someone who basically sat on our bench as an impact player was suddenly going to turn your mob around???

f**king hilarious!!

Interesting times we live in.

Now that KF is off for a couple of weeks, we're going to see what kind of a coach Flanno really is. Ever since KF was available for selection, and Flanno's insistence on picking him on every occasion, that's clouded his decision making as he tried to fit everyone around him being in the team. Now that he won't be there for a while, let's see what smarts (if any) Flanno has in conjuring up a game plan with the upcoming fixtures. If we lose the next 4, then it's time for him to be shown the door.

It's a shame when you think about it. He came in with high hopes/expectations but having KF in the team and his pig headedness in selecting him on every occasion didn't show his coaching pedigree. Let's see what happens

Haha how pathetic.

And who won 11 of the matches before that?
You can wank over as much as you like over Scumulla, I will always despise them, the facts are, NSWRL in 1967 gave them entry into the competition was to stop the St George juggernaut, 1 fn tarnished premiership whoopee, check out the Panthers success.
Scumulla ran like little pathetic thumb sucking babies to Rupert Murdoch dark empire for saviour, zero respect.

The Bleating and Moaning on here is so symptomatic of an old decrepit man with nothing better to do than create a mindless post called " Sack the Coach" and with no offer of anything better.
This rubbish of a thread would be typical of an Aged Care Facility all close to death and with nothing better to do than " Whine until Death" It's just a game and it will turn around.
Thanks for your input Flanno😂

In all seriousness….gotta say it was a tough watch seeing Snr struggling when Kyle was in a bad way yesterday. While I’m not overly a fan of either Flanno you’ve gotta respect his love for his son even though it’s possibly been a bit misguided in regards to his son’s ability at some times imo. Hope Kyle is doing ok.

At a time when we don't have much to cheer about here at the Dragons there has been one constant over the last half dozen or so years that manages to cheer us all up - the fact that your clown show of inbred, boring, soulless swamp dwellers can be relied upon to be nothing but sad pathetic pretenders and to be once again sent packing out of the finals with your tail between your legs once you play the real teams at the end of the year.

Now THAT'S "f**king hilarious".

Back to the swamp with you. And remember to turn that porch light back off - it's going to be a looooooooooooong time before you'll get an opportunity to turn it back on.

Yeah we're doing it tough at the moment and it's something we're not used to. Could be worse. We could have a history of entering the league in 1967 and having only JUST jagging a GF win over perenial cheats Melbourne 14-12. Such a boring game that no-one remember's or mentions (other than flounder supporters). One premiership and secretly knowing that that's going to be it. So losing 📉 is in their DNA. Facts can never be denied.

When Flanagan was extended last time, I was ok with it. He had a shit team and they were playing half decent footy. This time around, I don’t think he should’ve been extended at the beginning of the year after a 4 game losing streak. Maybe wait until the end of the season. Everyone knows no other team would snap him up if he wasn’t resigned. As for any dragon supporters who are happy right now because the dragons are losing and they believe Flano should have been fired a while ago, give yourselves an uppercut.

Flanagan has only had one extension, which you stated 'you agreed with as he had done a half decent job and it wasn't his fault he couldn't sign top notch talent'.

What do you mean by last time and this time around?

I hope you've seen the error in your previous thought patterns and regret coming out in support of the extension with no further thought only some six months ago.
