KF may be a problem. But people are deadset kidding themselves if they think he’s the biggest problem. Our soft cock forward pack is the biggest issue and nothing changes until they grow a set. I’ve said it for years now. We have no forwards. Blows my mind that this hasn’t been THE biggest focus in recruitment since SF joined us. Put Johns, Thurston ,Cronk in their prime into the 7 jersey against Cronulla last week and our forwards still get steamrolled and bashed out of the game.
Nothing changes until we have a forward pack. And then sure, a good half will help. But nothing changes if the forwards get bashed every week.

Great post. Finally someone gets it! It's the reason we have to kick on the last tackle. If you can't get the defence retreating, you're not winning. Ask the Russians and Ukrainians about that. Rugby league is essentially a game of forcing back. Forwards determine who wins.....backs determine by how much. That saying has been around like forever.

You used a perfect analogy - a game of forcing back. Every game this year the opposition forwards just come at us and win the field position battle. Easily. You could already see it happening just 4 or 5 sets into the first half of the Sharks game. They were winning that battle even before 10 minutes of the game had passed. And then in the second half, their forwards lifted and our pea heart forwards couldn’t go with them. The four games where we’ve led this year and then lost - all of them the opposition forwards lifted in the second half and our soft weak gutted dogs just crumbled. What makes it worse is you can set your watch by it. You know it’s coming. And you can bet that the opposition teams know it too.

Flanno said at the start of the year we are short middles. Couchman shouldn’t have to be a starting middle this year. There’s not much out there for next year. So we should consiser Papalii for a year or 2. He’s getting squeezed out, but wants to play on.

The best form of attack is defence and the best form of defence is attack, put them together and we're will win many more games.

Step 1 sack Dean Young the defensive coach and replace him with Brad Arthur.

If things don't improve, sack both Flannagan's, Haran, Millard, Millwood and a host of players.

While we are at it get rid of half the BOD and set a term limit of 5 years.

We badly need a cleanout.

Which is why Flanno has been on the hunt for a dominate middle. He knows it. Just have to nab him, whoever it is.

Drums are beating louder and louder. Finally the media are calling him out. Pressure is on now Kyle better come out and play well against Parra or Flanno will have no choice but to drop him especially if we lose. He won't be getting an extension anytime soon he only has till the end of next year and has done nothing to warrant it other then throwing in some juniors who were always going to debut this year regardless of the coach.

To be fair he's not the worst coach out there but having an out of form KF in the team when they're not going well is clouding his judgement. If there was no KF in the squad I think he would've got better outcomes. Remember, the reason why Lomax is in Origin is because of Flanno so he can see certain things in players and the game.

About time the media start to talk about this bullshit hey mate.

Completely agree with your juniors comment, some on here act as if Flanagan's only KPI when he signed was to debut some juniors and nothing else, god help us if things were ever so dire that the BOD set a coach those very generous KPIs, any coach would be putting their hand up for the job then 😂

He isn't the best either. Lomax was already going to be great regardless of Flanno, he was our most talented junior and our new head coach pushed him out. Absolute bullshit and shouldn't of happened. Same as Latu it shouldn't happen but under Flannos watch it has. Horrible

We have some good young forwards but need at least one or two alfpha props to lead the way.

Atkinson is coming as a five-eighth in 2026. Ideally, we need an experienced halfback who can kick well, tackle, and manage the game. In the absence of securing such a halfback, I recommend we prompted Reed to first grade and hope he can handle the step up.

It's ok, we have Kyle.
