Sack Flanagan

The coach spoke about the dropped ball before half time and Luch kicking the ball but nothing about the missed tackle on Tom when he scored.
What about the try off the kickoff? Kyle was hiding on the wing so he didn't have to tackle a big bopper and they exploited that and went straight past him. Flanno blames Holmes in the press but didn't mention Kyle once. Absolute joke Kyle was meant to be the 7 but left all the kicking up to Atko it's beyond a joke now they both have to go, nepotism is 100% at play and no one can deny that now.

The press conference last night in which he dribbled on about having no better players in reserve grade to choose from. There's at least 3 in the NSW cup side that could have been picked in front of Lawrie, Guler and Kyle.
Yep there lays a big problem , and to be honest he has brought all this on himself , 10 games straight losses , unheard off and more coming the guys out of his depth and has no idea how to get out of it .........

Flanagan has to wear these results, it has been a long time coming. As a coach, you decide to go into your third season in charge without a recognised halfback, and two aging players at fullback and hooker? So you decide to go yet into another season with the worst spine in the NRL? Complete lunacy.

I think most people are wondering why wait until Tuesday, Sack him now.
The why I believe comes down to due process. Super cars has to gather evidence over the next couple of days which would include interviewing players and other coaches.
He would then take that to the Board on Tuesday.

The second process is canvassing prospective replacements both internal and external.

The final and most contentious part is that the Board must be unanimousl in its decision to Sack him and any others then agree unanimously on his replacement.

Just to show how much of a basket case it is, last I heard, which was before the Manly game, was the Board was split down party lines.

So, just on my opinion. Yes, he should go. It plaim and obvious our game plan is built on what may have worked 10 or so years ago. Our recruitment is dog poo at best (I'll give Atko some botd). Our retention even worse.
The game is based on speed (Cowboys last night exhibit A) not bash and barge.

Therefore, does SF survive Tuesday based on 1, 2 and 3 above?

I just hope that we are on the phone today to PW, because the very inkling that DY would parachute into the role turns my stomach as he is undeniably part of the the current problem and I believe why the Board is split.

I nearly fell over when I heard that last night.
Like wtf, who says that?? Halangahu, LPT, Tsougranis, Buchanan, Reed. Hutchison and Webster coming along well. Flanno is a merkin for saying that

It's just time. It's just time for both Flanagans to go. The rebuild around the juniors coming through won't happen whilst both remain. I wish them well, but my loyalty is with the Dragons, not the Flanagans. They've both tried their hardest but I think we have ample evidence to know they are not up to it; either of them. Why wait? Let's salvage something from the season and get Reed, Nick T, LPT etc some 1st grade exposure. I'm also sick of seeing other teams blood 19-20 year olds, but not us. What a joke!

Flick Flanagan. Bring in Willie, he knows his guys in reserve grade and give them a go.

This f**king hasbeen now has a record of 19-35, or a win percentage of 35%. What else are the club waiting for? Piss him off and anyone he brought on board, player, assistant coach or otherwise.

By comparison, Price (37%) and Mary (47%) were both more successful...
Hey Walpole, he actually has the lowest win percentage out of any coach in the JV history, so congratulations to Fraudagan on that achievement.

I will toot my own horn here, this was some analysis I did and posted in this thread after Flanagan's first five games in charge. To me at least, it was abundantly clear then that he wasn't the man for the job and now everyone knows for certain he isn't!

Some more analysis on this topic for everyone's Sunday Afternoon.

Fraud Flanno has now had the worst start (equal in terms of win loss ratio and worse in terms of points conceded) for any of our joint venture coaches since Andrew Farrar in 2000.

Surely the impact of a new coach should be enough to at least put some decent performances and defence together? If this highly credentialed premiership winning coach can't get the team off to a better start than any other coach since Farrar, that is a big red flag for me and further demonstrates his appointment over Ryles was purely to maintain the status quo.

NB - I haven't included caretaker period coaches for comparison purposes as they would not have had an off season to straighten things out.

Flanno after 5 matches - 2 wins 3 losses (130 points conceded)

Griffin after 5 matches - 4 wins 1 loss (42 points conceded)

McGregor after 5 matches - 3 wins 2 losses (58 points conceded)

Price after 5 matches - 3 wins 2 losses (90 points conceded)

Bennett after 5 matches - 4 wins 1 loss (36 points conceded)

Brown after 5 matches - 2 wins 3 losses (122 points conceded)

Farrar after 5 matches - 1 win 4 losses (149 points conceded)

Does this concern anyone?
Even our worst coaches have been able to get the team performing decently in their first season in charge after a full off season to coach bad habits our of them!

For Fraud Flanno's apologists I guess at least he isn't last in this list but you have to go back more than 20 years to find a worse start 😂

Geez the Tigers have really progressed this year, we have gone backwards. They play unstructured, we play over structured.

Shane’s last chance really, after the nsw cup team scored 50 points is making some key positional changes and injecting some energy.
At minimum:
Play Reed, Loko, Halangahu, Kerr, Liddle starts
Drop Kyle, Guler, Lawrie, cook to bench,

I would also like to add the following

1. Sacking flanno will solve little unless we bring in the right coach ( don't get me wrong..he needs to be sacked...its untenable. )
2. New Coach to have full autonomy...Can bring in his own people from outside Ala Wayne.
3. All positions on the Board should be up for re election... in other words if people have under-performed they should be shown the door.... that pretty much means the lot of them.

Saw a post on X that apparently if this fraud is sacked within the period of his original three year deal, the club won't need to pay him out for the other two years. If true, they'd be stupid not to punt him ASAP.
Time to move on from Floppocan't, it didn't take Webster all that long to get the Warriors firing, I actually think in his first year they made the top 8.
Two seasons and 5 rounds is about the lifespan of a any flop.
