Because, for the umpteenth time, the guy has said he is not interested in coming back to Aus. He and his family are settled in the UK (think his wife is a Pom?).

One thing is clear, Mary does not know what to do. As mentioned by others he has a lost look on his face in the presser... if he is honourable he will fall on his sword.

Any decent club without a proven coach would have either locked in Cleary or be tapping up Maguire. Do what the Dogs did with Hasler in 2011 and get in his ear, make him want to come here.

But really, it seems our management are happy with what Mary is bringing. Happy with fringe top 8 (at best) and the team just putting in effort.
