If the club are in early discussions to possibly extend Mary's tenure, I really hope that :-
1. They wait as long as possible for the Full season to unfold.
2. They instigate some form of emergency get out clause in their favour
3. Consider all options that maybe come available in the coaching musical chairs world
The club has time & must be patient in this next big decision, we cannot afford another Price stuff up extension.
If Mary is good enough then time will tell and let's wait for the result and not the excuses.

Coffs dragon , Correct , correct and correct once again ! They have all the time in the world now , more so with Dessie and Cleary signed . They must wait , there is no excuse whatsoever for a premature decision upon the coaching role .

I , as so many others , are ' tickled pink ' that the team is going so well , at present and also that Mary's relationship with the players has improved .

However , as has been said by all and sundry , the next four weeks shall show not only us , but also the Joint Venture's board , as to whether Mary's coaching has indeed changed for the better . No need to rush , none at all .

MCRONE is the best defending halfback in the NRL w daylight second.
His first pass off the ruck is excellent
He gets undone when it comes to decision making and kicking
When you say 1st pass off the ruck are you saying when he is at DH the pass after the DH passes to him?

2nd with a dud halfback who would of thought?
A long way to go but credit where credit is due for the results thus far.
Many have posted similar comments to that but still hold reservations for obvious good reasons..
Others want to bask in the glory of 4 from 5 and profess it is all love and kisses.
I know I can admit getting it wrong I just wonder if others have the same ability, if this does turn south for the winter.
As my dear old dad we say
A cock that crows to early can be dealt a swift death.

Would I like to see us playing in September hell yes that would be fantastic.
Will we playing then IMO too early to tell albeit the early signs are good.
Some teams are anything but in the best form and that will undoubtedly come, the question is can we lift further and go with them when we have too.
No doubt we are playing well enough up until now butI believe it will have to ramp up considerably and I am unsure how we will do that but maybe there is fuel left in the tank and for mine only time will tell.
IMHO we certainly put the Panthers away in a ruthless fashion but not so the Warriors or Tigers.

OT I can guarantee you with about 99% certainty we will be playing in September.. so that's good news right?! (The last round falls into September unless I think if we get a Thursday night game)

Enjoying the ride, and Coach McGregor has discovered the right balance with the team. We look happy and bonded on the field. Already been mentioned but we also look super fit as well.
If we make the 8 and go into finals McGregor needs a a fair shot to have a contract extension. Gus Gould wrote a very good piece on McGregor now sounding and looking like a confident coach, versus past seasons efforts...

It is interesting fellas, I would not be jumping in to sign Mary up, after all we need to give credit where credit is due and that is to the players who are playing what's in front of them, nothing to do with the coach, just the players skills and I also give credit to the high performance team. Even Mary admits that they are playing what's in front of them instead of his ridiculous strict structures.

Look, credit where it's due.

I posted a while ago that the saddest thing would be for a Club legend to bow out the way it was looking Mary would (or should) do.

He has gone some way in the first 6 rounds to address that, but what I have to tip my hat to is Mary putting pride aside, listening and changing things up.

So, well done Mary.
