One only needs to look at both the Tigers and the Eels at this same time last year . Both were not in the best of shape . But now , 12 months down the track , they both have their houses in order . The Tigers next year will field a very competitive side , but by signing Cleary earlier this season , they took the necessary measures to ensure the clubs future success .
Of course Parramatta had the salary-cap dramas , something which I thought would hamstring the Eels for a couple of seasons . But no , that was not to be , they also have made some astute signings and with a coach whom knows his job and could very well make a big dent come semi-final time .
Whereas here at the Dragons , we are still in limbo , with a board that appears to have little or no idea whatsoever of how to get this club to become progressive and eventually successful . I have used the Tigers and Parramatta as a yardstick , as a comparison to the Dragons over the same period . Both of those clubs are moving in the right direction , however we would appear to be held firmly in the same position as we have since 2012 , almost cemented in place .
The most infuriating aspect to all of this is , that , as so many before me have said , they simply don't seem to listen to the fans , nor apparently not see the match reports in the media of just how far this club has fallen .
They could very well be the 3 wise monkeys running the show . Hear no evil , see no evil and what ever you do , don't speak any bluudy evil !
