You guys are off your head. Go better than what they are going ? Sitting in 3rd spot with best FA, best attack and a great defence. What more do you want? This is a team that was projected to win the spoon. You guys are the Donald's trump of league supporters full of shit and fake news.

Hmm...

Hey getsmarty Bennett got rid of all the shit the first on list was our current coach because he offered a big fat zero. There was not a sound from Doust. And as everyone knows McGregor should not be associated with the club in any capacity.

I Hear you , but the Board are at fault here. Paul McGregor should have been released at the end of last year. The board let JD go and more than likely didn't look at anyone else. When the announcement of his re-signing was made I remember Doust saying something along the lines of Paul being a "Career Coach" and that he is learning. What has he Learn' t...??????????? If the club see him as a career coach let him earn his apprenticeship somewhere else. He has had since 2014 (halfway through if I remember correctly) to learn...all I see is the some tactics which when they go pear shaped there is no Plan B.

I have nothing against Paul McGregor and don't want to make it into a bashing session but WE CANNOT WIN A PREMIERSHIP ANY TIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE WITH HIM IN CHARGE. (Sorry for the caps..I am just so gutted and sick & tired of this club repeating the same mistakes over and over again ).

Until the current board are gone we will have the same nepotism and poor decisions being made.

It's that repetition of the same mistakes that is intolerable.

Mary simply doesn't have what it takes to adapt and get the best out of a group over an extended period.

That we persist with sending the ball to an under pressure Widdop and I suggest having Mann under directions to let Widdop lead plays is typical of Mary's ineptitude.

100% correct....and nothing will change while the current board is in charge.

If you think the Tigers and the Knights have issues then take a look at our club. It will only get worse.
We are not going forward as McIdiot keeps saying, we are going backwards. To think after seven rounds we were 6 and 1.
Now we may even drop out of the eight. But the club don't care.
Everything had gone downhill since we started renewing contracts and the way it was handled.
MillWit should be the first on we sacked.

The key for us early in the season was the fitness of the team. We were super fit and our forward pack would just roll through everyone. Now we are starting to get some fatigue and the forwards dont have that punch and due to the lack of ideas we cant compete with anyone.

It is similar to the origin team, if NSW wins this year we will keep Laurie and the same 17 for next year regardless of whether we could actually improve the team (Hayne should be dropped or played on the wing/bench)

I'm the same getsmarty just had it with the BS from the board and McGregor. JD would have been the right choice for our coach but no they went for their mate with no ability at all.

The problem is that JD would have been another roomy coach and I can understand the Board not going that way; that doesn't excuse the premature Mary extension.

One only needs to look at both the Tigers and the Eels at this same time last year . Both were not in the best of shape . But now , 12 months down the track , they both have their houses in order . The Tigers next year will field a very competitive side , but by signing Cleary earlier this season , they took the necessary measures to ensure the clubs future success .

Of course Parramatta had the salary-cap dramas , something which I thought would hamstring the Eels for a couple of seasons . But no , that was not to be , they also have made some astute signings and with a coach whom knows his job and could very well make a big dent come semi-final time .

Whereas here at the Dragons , we are still in limbo , with a board that appears to have little or no idea whatsoever of how to get this club to become progressive and eventually successful . I have used the Tigers and Parramatta as a yardstick , as a comparison to the Dragons over the same period . Both of those clubs are moving in the right direction , however we would appear to be held firmly in the same position as we have since 2012 , almost cemented in place .

The most infuriating aspect to all of this is , that , as so many before me have said , they simply don't seem to listen to the fans , nor apparently not see the match reports in the media of just how far this club has fallen .

They could very well be the 3 wise monkeys running the show . Hear no evil , see no evil and what ever you do , don't speak any bluudy evil !

Can anyone tell me any positives McGregor has brought to the club besides his love & passion which I don't buy because imo there are supporters out there with just as much if not more.
He himself states that he leaves the recruitment etc to others. He continues to play players out of their preferred positions. Has no idea on how to use the bench. Fails to have a plan B or a succession plan for the future or in case of injuries. Has no ideas on managing his star players during rep season.
Can't identify the problems on the field & rectify them.
How the Fu** does he keep his job.
He can paint the gym on the cheap!
He got our club to the semis in 2015!
He's probably the 2nd best coach in the NRL.....all the others are equal 1st ahead!
He's a former NSW Origin water boy for Loz!
He can adapt to change without changing a thing!

Very good post 'Gareth67' but on behalf of the Monkeys of Australia Association, l must inform you to diss associate the name, monkey......with the board of the Dragons ( Dopey Doust & Mary Poppins ).

Whilst we acknowledge the complete uselessness of the board, we feel that calling them 'monkeys' is a slur on our brand.

Any further affiliation with our brand (monkey) will result in litigation.

Yours sincerely,

I was on fence about him being re-signed only because of the gut feeling.
Yes,we had started the season well and were punching above our weight but why didn't they wait and see how the rest of the seaon goes before the final decision was made. It stinks big time of Doust doing his usual and striking while the irons hot and we're looking good.
Don't worry about where we end up
The club had to re-sign him early as there was at least 10 clubs lining up to sign him if we didn't then we would have lost our coach with a bright future
What could be worse than that

We have a super coach that unfortunately has not realised the comp is 26 rounds not 12. The team look busted and tired and I don't think well see them turn it around in time. So another year wasted.

Why the rush to re-sign the imposter? We're we afraid he might get signed by someone else? Please. Dumb dumb dumb decision.

We are stuck behind the eightball with the singing. It wasn't that long ago where the management to piss Mary off because they didn't have the money. Based on that we will never get rid of him.
