Oh no, I’d lay off the thread for at least a month, I’d have have too, I’d still be drunk.
But seriously, if he won a premiership I’d be happy to see him given an extension, month to month though.:D

BGB's, I see your month to month and raise you to a additional year!
Yes, I'm one heck of a guy to acknowledge McGregor by giving him an extension of a year if he won the GF.

Problem is ....................... I seriously can't see us getting anywhere near the GF.
Happy to buy the master franchise to the Humble Pie Factory if l'm wrong.
As you were people...................

I can't see it either, but if a miracle does happen I'll be down at Kogarah Oval at 11pm to see the trophy come back and shake Mcidiots hand, like I did Bennetts, and assure him I never doubted his ability for a second.........then go home and post on the Sack McGregor thread.
After all, he'll have peaked then, time for someone new.

Well done to you, mate.
I would be thinking he's a bit stale by the time he hits the exit gate, as well.........

Looks like Mary will defiantly be coach next season after Saturday's results puts Saints in the Finals series which I am sure was his and the club's target. He even has a chance to finish top 4 which is better than what we or the club would have expected.

Seeing Saints were hardly on any of these NRL experts top 8 predictions before the season started that will go in his favour.

If Seibold's rabbits loses next 2 and Mary finishes ahead of the bunnies Mary may even get coach of the year in the Daly M's. Now that will probably get him another extension.
More likely we lose the next two and get smashed in First semi by plus 30

Then what.....sack him!

First semi , I believe that regardless of Paul Vaughan not being available , the Dragons WILL come out with all guns blazing. Whoever it is that we face , the boys will still give a good account of themselves . I realize that this is going against the grain as to our current form and also just what the caliber of player the Dragons possess when compared to the other finalists .

In fact I will go one step further and say , I hope it is the Roosters we face , the reason is that they are flying high at present and may even take us too lightly . Should the Dragon pack get over the top of theirs , as they done so convincingly in the Anzac Day game then perhaps , just perhaps the Widdop and a Hunt combination may click into gear once again as it was earlier in the season . A lot of hope in this post I know , but it is the finals and anything can happen , perhaps the cards may fall in our favour ?

Back from 4 months out of the country, I went to watch the ISP team last Saturday rather go to Leichhardt for the NRL clash. Spoke to a few blokes close to the reserve graders. I asked if Mary ever watches the ISP. Answer : "No, never!" No wonder he finds it hard to trust them in the NRL.

General consensus amongst contracted boys - love being at the Dragons but wonder just what they have to do to get a look in for NRL selection. Certainly more chance if the NRL coach watched them play. Some like Sele may be forced to look elsewhere for an NRL career. Very sad if we lost a player of Herbert's ability through the coach's lack of foresight.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Just understand that this is the best position our club has been in since 2011. Naturally we as fans can't help but be excited and support this team to make a finals run. Go the saints!
You compare how we are going with years of crap from price and Mary.
Like comparing two crimes.
None is good.
The sensible ones look at how we have gone since May this year.

Beat NONE of the top 6 teams, none.
You will come around once you witness what will happen

Would love to play the Rorters, too.
Funny, l feel more confident in beating them then say, Canterbury this week.

We lost form very quickly, hopefully we can find form just as quickly, although we do need Widdop back.

I agree - and I am an unrelenting optimist when it comes to rating our chances.

However, when you look back through the records - we are possibly in the longest stretch of underperforming in dragons history. This isn’t hyperbole.

Yeah mate I'm an optimist too - and the only one on this forum who seems to reckon the troops in our 30 can win a Grandfinal - with the right 17 in the field.

This year!

I despair at the poor selections that have hamstrung our chances.

Death by a thousand cuts

McFMD would've been toast by now had it not been for a few individual efforts that've won games since May. I've been away, but I heard Duff won one, and Luc was his saviour last week?
Absolutely no coaching smarts evident anywhere - except, at last, the inclusion of Field 'for points'' last week?
FFS get Lomax & Herbert into the centres now and give the team a chance!
Someone said he'd like us to play the Rorters in the semi! What? For Aitken (Lovechild #2) to get stitched up again?

Maybe our statisticians cum apologists could work out how many games/points the Latkens have dudded us this year?
But how can u measure lost breaks thru lack of speed etc failure to backup, set up wingers with deft passing etc, marking ur fuccing man etc???

You’re not he only one who thinks we can win the GF with our current 30.
As you say with the right 17 selected.
Vaughan and Widdop out makes that even more crucial.
To change JP and LL role after last week would be criminal. We should allow them to build momentum, becuase that’s what the team needs in the next two weeks, momentum. Same with Field, and Lawrie needs more minutes.
Nighty’s return is stupid. They could have presented him the Kogarah crowd before kick off for a farewell.

I dunno, 31 years without a title seemed like an awfully long time.
Fine we made quite a few grand finals in that time, but making grand finals is not what it's about.
