One thing to get a few laughs with a bit of well meaning humor , but you have gone overboard with that rubbish - take the weekend off and recuperate . If you must return to this forum , then use some tact as there have been a few disgusting incidents over the last couple of days including a child being slashed 20 times in the face .

I try to remain as conservative as possible but to see the coach movement encircle the competition and for us to just sit there and say 'we're all good' defies logic and leaves me seething.

Some things are debatable but one thing is not. WE WILL NEVER WIN THE COMPETITION WITH PAUL MCGREGOR AS COACH.

The Brown years proved this point. As did the Waite and Smith years. We've had a team of stars in the past, multiple times, but for only three years of the last three and a half decades have we had a coach that can actually get a team all the way. Once again we find ourselves with a team capable of winning the comp with the right leader.

It took me a long time to subscribe to that theory. For many years in the mid 90's early 2000's I thought we could win with unproven coaches but the Bennett era taught me differently.

However.....

1. as coach Brown was extremely unlucky.

Even with a more credentialed coach, the current side on paper are mere also rams.

Best backrow in the comp, front row with go forward and experience, halves that are on their day as good as any. Our backline needs work (hence my frustration over lack of recruitment). When Wayne came he knew how to further strengthen the team with bargain buys and loyal players.
