New coaching staff, but same lame excuses and throw backs to 2018. This peanut of a coach hasn't changed his stripes, even managed to throw Flanno as a premiership & spoon winner coach!! He never misses an opportunity to position himself with excuse mechanisms.
I cannot wait until he's gone. Pass me the OKB Eno as my guts turn listening to this flog!
I lasted
Did you hear the comment, shane has come 1st and also won a spoon. !!!! Nothing has changed....listening to this clown is like someone running their fingernails down a chalkboard....

Unbelievable......................If he lasts more than 10 rounds then I think I'm out....can't take anymore of this Cr@p

lasted 56 seconds listening to his dribble
Mary is a total flog

OKB my missus bought me out some Vincent's and BEX with water - told her to take the water away - dropped the powder with Diet Coke but the nightmare of that interview still lingers - bloody hell what is he saying!!!!

Sorry, but I’ve refused to watch the drivelling clown & spent the downtime with the grandkids who got sledged all year when kitted out in their Dragons’ gear.

So if we extend the Moron’s cretinous logic, we’re seriously meant to believe he’s covered his tenure by implying that his 2 year plan could be potentially winning the Spoon this year (almost a given IMO) - & the title miraculously in 2021? This even after 15/16th in 2019 FFS?

He is the greatest unmitigated cur fu*kwit on the planet.

Sorry kids

Oh Mary of course you are 1 up on Flanno as yes you have not won a spoon (made sure your got that one in)...yet
Interviewed 9 other coaches..ha. Who were they?...must of been from the CRL or Illawarra League.
If any of them had a sceric of NRL or NSW Cup experience they would of laughed at you interviewing them...or was it GUS!!!!..doing the interviewing
Am I hearing is GUS our new CEO!!!.....no..cant be can it...instead of my recent Cronulla departed CEO theory. Cant wait to see who it is!

A submission for Mary's greatest hits from about 1:15 on this vid: https://www.dragons.com.au/news/2020/01/11/paul-mcgregor-provides-pre-season-update/

Last year "a few distractions...took us away from what we needed to do which was concentrate on the right things at the right times, consistently all the time instead of now and again so to speak".

So much meaningless bullshit marketing jargon in that interview. If he's changed at all, it's only because he's more nervous now - perhaps he really is on a final warning.

There was such a difference between his and Flanno's videos. Flanno was thoughtful and confident, McGregor was spouting indecipherable management theory. If they do start winning, how long is Flanno going to be happy to puppet master/McGregor's ego gonna stay in check? And what is the best case scenario? We let Flanno go take up a head coaching position elsewhere in a couple of years (or one perhaps) while we hang onto McGregor cos he turned things around?

The situation seems untenable. McGregor is entirely a drag, and any success will be in spite of him. It's difficult to think of any scenario where the team wouldn't perform better if he just stopped showing up now, with these new legions of staff.

Agree it would seem that the players and supporters are in a no win situation with the new set-up . We all would like the team to do well this season and I believe that most of us would also like Flanagan to become the 1st grade coach - preferably sooner than later .
Unfortunately whilst the ban is in place this status quo situation will remain . Our only hope is that the Dragons board will finally have their collective snouts out of the trough long enough to sack the beggar and replace him with Sheppard who will keep the coaching seat warm for Flanno .

Precisely.
For an off season interview, he looked and sounded nervous as hell, hence the overload of BS.

Came across this in Mary's entry on Wikipedia:

In the 2019 NRL season, McGregor coached the joint venture to their worst finish; 15th place. The only thing keeping St George from 16th place were the hapless Gold Coast Titans. McGregor was gifted a contract extension after St George won 4 of their first 6 games. McGregor lead the club to win just 3 of their last 18 games. A 5 match losing streak from rounds 7–11 and again from rounds 16–20. McGregor lead the St George side to the worst finish in their history since 1938, a season in which St George received the wooden spoon.[17] McGregor's coaching style has generated intense discussion and criticism on NRL forums: on the League Unlimited Dragons "Front Row Forum" the 'Sack McGregor' thread has over 12,000 posts, ranging from constructive criticism to hate filled hysteria calling for the coach's head on a plate and accusations of a 'boy's club' culture at the club. Consistent issues raised include bench use, alleged favoritism towards certain players, a perceived lack of opportunities for juniors and unimaginative game plans. While a clean out of the coaching support structure for next season and the appointment of former Cronulla coach Shane Flannagan as one of McGregor's assistants seems to indicate the club has recognized some deficiencies in the coaching area, it tends to reinforce the perception that McGregor is "untouchable" in the eyes of the Dragons' hierarchy. Another forum, "The Roar" features numerous longer form contributions with similar themes.

Great post!
So good to see the truth exposed in such a frank & forthright way.

No spin- just the raw truth from a worldwide platform.

Shame on our corrupted media

And the reality goes deeper.
There have been unforgiveable
transgressions - well documented for years on this Forum

And most at the behest of McGregor
