"It's important to note that Craig Young excused himself of any decision making pertinent to Paul's departure and Dean's appointment. As such, for as long as Dean remains coach, Craig will take a voluntary leave of absence from the board.

"The club will now turn its focus to establishing the crucial process of appointing a new head coach for the 2021 season and beyond."

This from webby stood out to me.
He's no fool

7 friggin years of failure. Draining the swamp and move forward with the proud club players want to be part off.
Good bye and now to the future of building a club around a profesional and experienced coach.
Next minute...”Dean Young appointed full time coach in 2021 after beating the Broncos by 2 points”

There is obviously someone in the background making decisions. You would think a new coach would have an opinion on who to retain and who to purchase.

Would they have let go of Aitken and or go after Welch without the new coach's opinion?

Have they already got their man?
