Got to a stage last year of me recording the Dragon's games then only watching replays if they win. Too frustrating!
Apparently the Board also do the above approach.

That way the Board are never worried about the CEO and coach and all they have to do is just think we always win. Then when dousty presents to the board each meeting they all toast him with crownies. The committee were only appointed to help carry crownies into the board room and demitriou was sacked because he tried to play a losing video at a board meeting.

At the annual review they do an in depth look at each win and last year decided we didn't need an attacking coach.

Our Board and CEO make Mr Bean look intelligent. They both are sure funny to watch though.

Correct, Mr Bean gets results in his own way.
Well we have been on the lookout for a quality Coach in England.

"In what is an ominous warning for the rest of the competition, Broncos captain Darius Boyd says that the addition of assistant coach Jason Demetriou will give his side another dimension in attack.

Seen by some as a succession plan for life after Wayne Bennett, Demetriou joined the Broncos in the off-season after a hugely successful one-year stint with the Illawarra Cutters in the Intrust Super Premiership."

Good enough to be the succession plan for Bennett... ability to add another dimension to an NRL powerhouse ..

Not well enough thought of by the Dragons 'protected species' society to dislodge a dysfunctional, inept, self absorbed imposter.

After all attack isn't one of our issues is it?

Which is probably a good indication that someone else already has the first grade coaching gig for 2018 and a few years beyond?

I believe you are right .. I have heard some very strong mail.. and maybe by Round 6 or so the cards will fall.. I have always believed our better years were under hard heads.

However, that won't change the protected species .. it will only prolong their tenure .. as it did with Bennett's success.

Surely after last year's effort something will be done early on in the comp to make sure it doesn't happen this year. I don't know if McGregor was given too much responsibility that he couldn't handle it all, but to see this beloved club of ours end up in such turmoil after we have sat back and watch top players leave or let go (mitch rein ) who was one of the top tacklers the year before & we let him go without a backup to replace him, and then watch a top coach in demetriou let go. Come on Dragon's board get your heads out and turn this club around to how it was & should be, a very proud strong club that us fans deserve. 43yrs os supporting

I recall the press conference when Bennett ( officially ) announced that he would be moving on at seasons end .

Doust , although thanking Bennett for his contribution to the club , as well as wishing him the best in his future endeavours , had a scowl upon his face that said it all .

I am sure that Bennett would not had come anywhere near the Dragons , had he known how little grey-matter that Doust and the rest of his cronies had between them. Thankfully , Bennett had enough control of the team , that the boards short-comings had little, if any impact upon the Dragons on field performances .

Should Dessie Hassler find his way here also , I sincerely hope that he is given as much freedom and control as was given to Bennett . Should an announcement be made that a new coach is coming to replace Mary , I sincerely hope that it is one that is capable and able to drag the Dragons back to the top , after all , that is where this club belongs .

The result of the charity shield should by now have decided Mary the wreckers future. He is unprofessional lacks knowledge of what is expected for a head coach let alone an assistant. His results show failure in all areas. I believe we will get thumped by the chocolate soldiers next week. Mary will say it's only round one and did ok for our first hit out. Go away Mcloser.

I understand things are now resolved for 2018 but then again I was very well informed from a reliable source that they had the solution locked in for 2017. We all saw that fall apart and even a late scramble by forming a coaching committee to try and appease a revolution from their fans failed to stop prying eyes.

This is part of my crusade at the moment as I am dumbfounded the Board let themselves get so tangled up in a mess that they had to revert to McMoron for 2017 while they changed course. It showed poor planning and poor execution to get their man. Like changing course in sailing just after the wind has stopped blowing.

Hunt signing shows the path forward is clearer but even with that...and a solid source who is usually right.....I still remain very dubious that current plans won't fall through again........quite frankly I remain unconvinced that the Board could even arrange a piss up in a brewery.

Sheridan...This board doesn't seem to have a plan B...Bennett reneges and they keep Mary. Cleary reneges they keep Mary. That's what worries me...nothing is confirmed in writing re 2018...Plan A fails...Plan B will more than likely be another job for someone internally.

Actually, McGregor was plan C.
After Bennett reneged at the 11th hour, another current NRL coach had agreed to terms with us. Our dysfunctional JV board was at loggerheads and they went with McUseless.

I would love if Mary had to face Coynes group and explain why players were selected and after each game front them with his assement of the game
He might fool Doust but not Coyne
