Yeah when Dr.Cox thinks he is talking to Ben (Jordans Brother) but he is just in denial and is talking to himself and JD ask who is he talking to? and he realises what he is doing, pretty sad episode that.

The two Futurama episodes mentioned are heartbreaking.
Agreed. Great stuff by the writers.
"I am Sam" was touching...
Holds the distinction of the only movie that can reduce me to tears whenever I see it. Agreed that Sean Penn absolutely nailed it. As did Dakota Fanning and Michelle Pfeiffer (I think it was her). Great, great movie.

90% of The Wonder Years chokes me up like a big rubbery goose.
It'll do it for me every time.

The ep where Winny broke her leg, by hanging out with much older thugs, and Kevin is by the window at the end with Joe Cocker singing "I know your plans, don't include me."

Funny thing about The Wonder Years is that it's the only TV series you can't get in Australia on DVD.
Even Jb-Hi-fi don't have 'em.

They reckon some classification excuse is the reason they won't import them.
Crock of sh*t if you ask me.

The Wonder Years was the best show on Earth.

It had heart & spirit.

P.S. I've got about 15 video's of Wonder Years taped off the TV and what was most sad was this one old ad by the R.S.P.C.A. where this poor little dog is given as a christmas present but they dump him by the bin the next day and he grows up by the bin and some prick puts the boot into him in the ad then eventually drops him in the bin.
I hate watching this commercial as it upsets me.

Good one. The very first ep of wonder years is pretty sad when they all hear winnies brother had died in vietnam.

The series hasn't been released anywhere except for a few select eps due to the studio not owning the rights to the music used during the series. Apparently whoever produced the series back in the 80's only secured broadcast rights for the music and not home video rights as well.

I was going to say a similar thing last night - IMO Futurama had so much more depth to explore than a show like the Simpsons ever will.

The episode of Family Guy 'Brian Wallows and Peter's Swallows' when it shows the montage of Brian hooked up to the VR goggles with that dying old lady and Peter going out with his beard full of the baby swallows, then at the same time Peter has to let them fly away the old lady flatlines and Brian takes the goggles off and walks out of the room without saying a word. I never cried watching it but I could understamd other people doing so.

the daughter of claudia Karvan just drops dead in a park while playing with her friend .
The parents are walking near by.

Next thing all hell breaks loose .........
the next few episodes are quite sad where she comes to terms with what happened.

I only saw it for the first time right about the time that TV presenter in Adelaide lost her baby when it's pram rolled into a pond in a park.

It was a pretty heavy episode...I am a relatively new father.

watch the trailer
