I know that it didn’t translate to results in his coaching, but at least when Elliott speaks about the game you can tell he has a deep understanding of it.

He has butchered the development of Dufty, Lomax, Field, Lawrie, Sailor, Saab.

I wouldn’t call any of those players established and “successful” NRL players apart from Bird.

As for butchered the others, i don’t agree. I do think that we should have kept Jai Field though.

I went there for the lols but I didn't enjoy it that much. Yes there was the Chernobyl response like I expected, but it was tinged with this deep sense of infinite sadness. Some of your fellow fans sounded broken. 10 years ago your club was on top of the world. How the mighty have fallen.

Makes you wonder what is in this contract. A payout is one thing but to not be able to fire someone for inept performances?

Does this mean that the board accepts his performances due to the presence of other factors which would otherwise impact his potential for success?
