Coaches preview is hard to watch. Love it how Mary calls every player by their rep honour.
We have McCrone who is a country origin player and 140 game player
We have Tim Lafai, an international
We got Sims, a rep player
And Packer, an international....

That interview was one of the worst ones McCantCoach has ever done
And that's saying something .

Agree mickeylane , we seem to play better in the heavy conditions ( last seasons game against the rabbits is a great example ) . I think the speed of the oppositions backline will tend to slow a bit , bringing them more inline with our own .

Packer and Ah Mau also thrive in the heavier going . Speaking of which , Packers speed of playing the ball , could be responsible for for some easy yardage . More so should McInnes pass it on to a charging Frizzell orSimms .

Damn the doomsayers , i have a good feeling about this game - Dragons by 6 .

Rein was dropped from Panthers squad. We are 1-17 with Akauolo and Edwards as our extra 2. Looks likely they will drop out.

Mann and Milne will get their chance in due course

Players most likely to make way Lafai/Aitken/Flo

Widdop should be under enormous pressure if he starts the season the way he finished last season. See him as the sacred cow.

Mann is suffering from the fact he has been branded a "utility" player. Sorry for the bloke.

I'm okay with that 19, considering who we have.

The big one for me is Mann should be in over Lafai. Or even Milne over Lafai (too late for that) and Mann over McCrone. McCrone isn't the ideal 7 to have but I'd rather Lafai out first. I can understand using Field off the bench, blooding him into FG like this is, as a super sub is fine by me.

And also means Marketo definitely won't be playing tomorrow!

If it continues to rain he will IMO go with 4 forwards on the bench and drop Field.
Mary will view it as a risk having a small guy who can be man handled on wet slippery paddock.

Just watched the first half of the Souths tigers game.I think we are in deep s--t.Souths made us look like chumps in the shield no matter how optimistic I am we are going to get hammered.Tigers are making Souths look very ordinary .What does that say for us.There might be a few taps on the shoulder after this game.We have picked a good team to go down by 12 to 20 points. Please not the same dribble as last year.Just play with some flair that is better than losing conservatively .

It could get very ugly tomorrow I fear.
Then I can't wait till we play the Tigpies as Jason Taylor has got a very smart side and got rid of the dead wight in the saddle bags.
Souths, Dragons, Dogs will be very ordinary and cannon fodder for the likes of Raiders, Tigpies and Storm.
Won't be surprised if the Sharks also go that way as they looked heavy in the legs yesterday and a lot of blokes there that may have just had the 1 year too many I suspect.
