Suity, How can you be so negative, We still have a good hope of making it, Read my first post again, You might understand that we only have to get a couple of games turn our way and we are in.

I'm not being negative. I'm being realistic.

We have played crap nearly all year. We don't deserve to make the 8, and if we do, we won't go anywhere.
I'm as gutted as you, but I'm not going to get excited about something that ain't going to happen.

And HJ, you can keep popping up out of nowhere and using the "Get Out Of Jail Free" line as much as you want.
Up until now, you are the one who looks like an idiot., not me. I might have that card, but I haven't had to use it for three years now.
I'd be happy too, but they don't give me any reason to.

Suity

If we beat Penrith and Roosters then we bloody do deserve to be in the 8 Suity. Winning 4 on the trot and the two grand finalists, One of the Grand Finalists twice this year. We bloody do deserve to be there and even if we don't we will be.

Nice of you to finally admit you have it, and are willing to use it ;) And I'm not the only one looking like an idiot, just the best looking of the bunch :D

Hey ParraMatt I think there is a scenario 3

If the Cowboys win big (20 points +) then we want the Knights to go close to the Tigers in the final round.

Personally I think we're better off with the Tigers winning this week - puts the onus on cronulla to beat Nth Qld - but they would think they are playing for a top 8 spot!

the BEST thing about it all is that our final game is on Sunday, so we'll know exactly what we have to do to make the 8 (or it might be all over by then...)

I'd be surprised if we win our last two games and dont finish off in 8th spot, the draw is pretty good for us.

Actually Suity, I think if we sneak in the 8 after winning four in a row, including victories over Penrith and the Roosters, we'd probably deserve our spot in 8th position more than the sides who would have fallen over and lost their last couple.

I agree if the finals were this week, we wouldnt deserve to be there...but now we've got a job to do to get there and if we do and other teams fall over?

Once there, I think we'd probably go out first week, but are more than capable of giving whoever we play a shake.......something happened at our club during the bye, we look a different side.

And then if the miracle occurrs, is SMith all of a sudden a hero?

Do we ignore the crap displays mid year? The coaching balls ups?

If we come 8th, a lot of you (like HJ) will be rejoicing. I'll be wondering why we didn't come 4th, WHERE WE BLOODY WELL SHOULD BE!!!!!!

I don't think a lot of you aim high enough. I think a lot of people, like HJ, are too rapt in mediocrity.

I restate my claim that Brian Smith should be sacked ASAP. The only thing that will change my mind would be to see Nathan Cayless hold aloft the TElstra Cup in October.

If the miracle occurs and we make the 8 then it depends on how long the "miracle" lasts. If it continues all the way to a GF victory, then I suppose Smith is a legend and no one will really give a stuff about the first 22 weeks of the season.

Not that I can see that happening. Our longest winning streak all year has been two matches and I've never heard of a team being that inconsistent and suddenly finding consistency.

If we get to the finals and by some miracle get any further, I dont think the team really deserves to be in a GF on their form this year. Taking nothing away from the good bits, I just think that other teams that have done well throughout the year deserve more than a team that has been good on occasions, to be in a GF. :|

I don't mind Smith staying if we make it to the 3rd round of finals. It means we're one the final 4 teams standing and have plenty to be genuinly excited about for next year (IMHO ;-) )

i just can't credit that some people are happy to sit back and let BS have chance after chance after chance

we have all discussthe issue of Jamie leaving and that he signed a contract and should be made to honour it etc etc just like in "real" workplaces

same should therefore go for BS - if his performances are poor over a long period of time he should be asked to move on and get someone else in that can improve productivity ;-)

however, if people are happy to support BS then so be it, i can't change your mind, you have to do that, but i just can't understand it :?

Just wondering how crucial our golden point game against the Sharks may be to our season. Could come back to haunt us.
Don't forget that they also scored late in the game to tie it all up.
