And it gets the knights on tv as well, their first FTA start for 2005. this is probably the biggest part, killing two birds with one stone.

Glad to see some one has brains - NOT. Storm vs Knoghts Sunday 2.30pm The Australian grand prix is on Sunday.
Oh well another reason to say the crowds are no good.

Sun 3:00pm (Nine): Rabbitohs v Knights at Express Advocate
Sun 3:00pm (FoxSports): Raiders v Roosters at Canberra
Raibbtohs vs. Knights a better game for TV then Raiders vs. Roosters?

Most people would rather poke their eyes out with matchsticks as opposed to watching canberra play

they couldnt give it to melbourne again so that leaves 14 teams left, would appear our number was up, next season it will be someone else

We'd probably have been better off!! Instead of that, we now have a game at the same time as the F1 Grand Prix is being held in Melbourne. That will help the crowd and publicity leading into the first home game of the year. Great scheduling NRL you dumb shits #-o #-o

Anything at anytime in Melbourne that weekend would drown in Grand Prix, wouldn't it?

Yes and no. If it was on the Sat, there would be a lot more visitors in town who might have gone to the game. I just think this is a really bad scheduling error by the NRL

That is the most appalling piece of scheduling ever.

Why not have that game on Saturday night? You'd have thousands of punters down for the weekend wandering around after Saturday qualifying looking for entertainment, and a League game would do the trick nicely. It's almost a recipe for a guaranteed sell-out!!

I think the NRL made their best decision scheduling the Storm vs Knights game on Sunday afternoon at the same time as the F1 game.

IF THEY WANTED TO KILL LEAGUE SUPPORT IN MELBOURNE!!!! #-o #-o

What an idiotic decision. Build the Storm up massively, Johns return and his match up with orford. Make Reynoldson into enemy number1. Then put Souths V Roosters on Sunday so Sydney has a game. Its not rocket science.

3 of the first 5 games on Channel 9... I like it.

Not as good as having the first 5 on 9 this year, but I'm getting used to this exposure now... 8)

I did some checking and The F1 official site says the the Melbourne Grand Prix is 85 days from today which makes it March 4-6, instead of March 11-13. It was brought forward one week to accomodate the extra race they're having from next year, so I take back what I said before.
