Never mind. Think of it like the coppers when they find someone they've arrested is actually innocent - "Well, this is for the time we didn't catch ya when you were doing something."

Oops, I was going off what I heard from someone else. Appears I was mistaken. No scheduling problems NRL... for now!!

My bad!!!

I based my original postings on the past scheduling of the Melbourne Grand Prix. For 2005 they changed the scheduling to accommodate 18 races instead of the usual 17.

There is no grand prix in Melbourne on the weekend of Round 1 of the NRL season.

My apologies to all those that took what I said as fact. Oh well, at least I know people do pay attention to what I have to say. ;-)

I did some checking and The F1 official site says the the Melbourne Grand Prix is 85 days from today which makes it March 4-6, instead of March 11-13. It was brought forward one week to accomodate the extra race they're having from next year, so I take back what I said before.

Oh. Well, that's okay then...

I still think a Saturday night game at OP would be a great idea during GP week though

Wow, seems to be a bit of a spread of teams playing early on next year, as opposed to this year when panthers played in the firt 5 rounds.

Beautiful, we play the Broncos on the Saturday night and the Pies play on the Sunday.

I love no clashes. :)

If anyone uses a calendar program that supports the .ics format such as iCal for the Macintosh or Mozilla Calendar or Sunbird for the PC, you can subscribe to the 2005 NRL schedule from icalshare, put together by yours truly.
