we won thats a good sign even though Burty didnt hav a good game wid da Burt...from what i know we need 1 improvement...BURT FIX UR GOAL BOOTING FOOT that is all
Well atleast we won.....and don't forget this was a pretty close to a full NZ side...so it was a good effort, they are a great side NZ so i guess there is only positives to come from this.
When your backs are scoring all the tries it always means that the opposition pack is tired. I hope they got that way because we smashed them. Long live this massive pack that we have.
Just got back from the game. Parra blew 3 or maybe 4 chances through bad handling and I think one forward pass. I was celebrating the try when I noticed they were packing down for a scrum . Dykes was wreaking plenty of havoc near the goal line.
Their was plenty of dropped ball from both side. It was bloody hot and the ball at times seemed like they were trying to handle soap.
I thought Corey pearson had a great game and worked well in tandem with Vella. Grothe looked good, caught one high ball which was impressive considering how many times the ball was dropped.
Fui Fui looked good when he was out there but as Twizzle said last week he's good for about 3 hitups before running out of gas. He'd be a monster under an unlimited interchange rule. As it is if he get his fitness up he could be devestating coming off the bench.
A litte addition, our go forward from tries was very impressive. Every set of six from the kickoff we would take the ball deep into Warriors territory and have them down there end of the field, even the opening kickoff we took it deep. Most of the Warriors tries were lenght of the field efforts.
Pearson, Vell, Caylo hitup combo always made plenty of ground.
that is great missed that a lot last year admittingly Cayless and Hindmarsh were injured for most of the year but still at times the go forward was well go backwards or sideways.
obviously an early edition no report on the game!!...however.
according to the Sun Herald Wags was sent home due to an elbow infection but Planet reported "second hand" that he was out there and at one stage to a knock!! bit confused about that.
in other news.
Cannings has been sent home due to his misdemeaner and will probably cop a fine in the process.
Peek turned on his ankle at training and was also sent home, he'll have scans next week.
