Diving and feigning injury is a blight that's creeping into our great game, not just from certain players. The refusal to dive used to distiniguish our great game from pretenders like AFL and soccer...I'm afraid it's starting to become common. One of the first things you learned as a rugby league player was never to show your opponents that you were hurt...that's now gone out the window.

Thats is all true sadly. The game used to be won by the team who turned up the best oin the day, now there are all sorts of other factors influencing the result. However, I believe the referees are partly to blame. They must be able to see a dive, so tell them to stop milking it and stop being so whitle happy. Not every little infringement has to be pulled up, and you can find that it is much more exciting when it isnt.

Having said that, I couldn't believe the dive an AFL player took after being tapped in the tummy...not sure who it was, a bloke in a blue and white outfit ( I think) it's been running ad nauseum on the TV news overnight.
