Berrigan is just too good for our squad.

Look at the dads army of misfits that we have signed.

Inglis, Champion and Berrigan are on the market and we don't even talk to them.

well that's not completely true mate, we made enquiries about GI via Alan Gainey and was told outright that he wasn't interested and we made a call to Champion who SK felt that at 300k a year for 3 years he just wasn't worth it.

i can sort of understand not going for Berrigan as we've already got a few of that style of a player already in our books desp[ite the fact that he may well be better than who we already have.

I like your optimism.

For me, SK and Osbourne are making the Hagan years seem like the good old days.

And we have not kicked a ball or seen our dads army fill the injured lists yet. Slow and injury prone is not a good way to start a season. At least we have some off field scandals to look forward to.

well there's nothing optimistic about my post, I'm just stating a fact and just for the record, I'm anything but optimistic with the 2011 season.

I'm guessing SK has some long term plans that Berrigan wouldn't fit into.

Most of the new signings may not even be here in 2012.

We really do have a much better squad than las season so I am optimistic. The only way from here is up.

That salt air must have some powerful side effects. I want the Eels to have an excellent year as much as anyone else but for the life of me I can't see what you're seeing.

when is the last time Berrigan played in the halves? I mean the bloke played hooker in a medocre comp last season, i can only see a benefit as a 9 and we have a sh*t load of them as it is,

Its funny that, Coz berro played at 6 & 7 for Hull on a number of occasions throughout his 3 year spell at the club. Due to injurys and a lack of depth in the halves @ Hull, he was chosen to play as first reciever.
