It’s R6 and I can’t see a win in this game, but our fortunes will turn, but probably difficult to make the 8 from here.

IMO I think it will come down to how Hastings leads the team (no pressure) and how Doueihi plays when he gets back?

Well done by the club.
How....smells like BS.... everyone I know that follow the WT are so disillusioned by their inept performances that they struggle to watch a game on TV let alone become a member.

If we miss the spoon, it’ll be a triumph.

There is no way I would have said this a week ago and I know I am going off early, but I honestly think we are a chance of top 8.
It wouldn't be a Grand Final but a fairy tale finish none the less.
I tipped us for the 8 in the off season.
I tipped us to win our first 4 rounds.
They let me down hugely and have screwed me over mentally.
Having said that, I think with the amount of decent players to return, if we can win half of our next 8 games, that will see most of them back and in position to have a crack.
Never say never but fair dinkum, a week ago they were specials for the spoon.

Who would have thought taking brooks from game management and letting him play what he sees would work. Ahh only every merkin on this forum!! What do we pay the coaches for if the fans can see the obvious solution but he cant!

It has Sheenius’s fingerprints all over it.Maguire is to short-sighted to have been solely responsible for giving the keys to the car to JH & removed responsibility from the perpetual failure Brooks.

Good call.....been a quiet achiever this year.....playing well.
yep agree. I'm the first to admit I was calling for his sacking last year, after every single game. But he has definitely turned it around this year. I mentioned it somewhere else on here, it's amazing what effort can do. You don't have to be the best, fastest, smartest etc, but if you keep playing for the jersey and the boys beside you, that goes a long way to winning games.

I was encouraged by the interview Offa gave immediately after the loss to the sharks....he's really taken this team to heart.
Yeah he seems to actually give a shit. I always have thought he's a talented player but just hasn't really cemented a role at a team (including Broncos). Really hoping he makes that 13 jersey his own

Sadly though, any player who can tie his own shoe laces (especially Qlders) & off contact will probably be targeted by Bennett as he is struggling to get a team together?

Injury Update: Round 8

AuthorMichael AlgeriTimestampTue 26 Apr 2022, 04:28 PM

Wests Tigers fullback Daine Laurie and centre James Roberts are both facing an extended period on the sideline due to injury.
Laurie is expected to miss between 4 to 6 weeks after suffering a Grade 2 MCL injury in Saturday’s win over the Rabbitohs. Roberts has been carrying a lower back injury for a while and was a late withdrawal from the game last weekend. He too is facing an indefinite period out of the game.

On the plus side, young outside back Asu Kepaoa is back in full contact training after tearing a pectoral muscle in pre-season.

Kelma Tuilagi will make his return against the Dragons this weekend after missing the South Sydney game through illness.
After injuring his ankle injury in the team’s Round 6 win over Parramatta, Jake Simpkin has continued his strong recovery. The young hooker is named in a 24-man squad for this weekend’s game against the Dragons in Wollongong.
Stefano Utoikamanu is progressing well and not too far off making his return, after undergoing ankle surgery in late March.
Adam Doueihi is targeting a return close to Round 14 after undergoing a knee reconstruction late last season.

Tommy Talau is back doing some ‘graded running’ following an ACL tear in Round 25 last season. He’s expected to be available for selection later in the season.
And Shawn Blore will not play at all this year after suffering an ACL injury in pre-season.
